摘要 本文从翻译的政治角度研究翻译策略，试图证明异化翻译将成为 必然趋势。归化和异化的争论长久以来一直都存在，该论文首先指出 在翻译研究中归化和异化翻译的具体争论，并概述有关翻译的政治的 理论。归化翻译通常指以目的语文化为主导的翻译策略，即运用目的 语文化易于接受的表达法，使译文更通俗易懂，更适合于目的语读者。 异化翻译指以源语文化为归宿的翻译方法，即尽力再现原文的色彩以 便更好的保留源语文化的异国情调。关于归化和异化方面的论文及研 究成果数不胜数。其中，赞成归化翻译策略和异化翻译策略者各执一 辞，当然亦不乏折衷者。大部分研究都集中在语言层次的转换问题或 者文化交流方面，而对于转换背后所发生的权利的得与失、文化的交 流与冲突，意识形态的干涉等等比较少。 2 0 世纪后半期西方翻译学的文化转向揭开了翻译的政治研究的 序幕。但是到了9 0 年代，翻译学的文化研究越来越带有强烈的政治倾 向，关心的重点是政治、民族、种族、帝国主义、女权主义等政治色 彩非常强烈的问题。而对于归化和异化的研究，在文化交流方面，大 部分研究都关注归化以及异化所涉及的跨文化交流和中西方文化及 文化价值观的差异。本文围绕意识形态的干涉以及文化交流的冲突来 研究归化和异化，即从政治角度来分析归化和异化，着重强调文化中 政治因素的作用。因此，从这个角度来探讨归化与异化将带来一些全 新的观念。 此课题通过从政治角度来分析，目的是指出异化翻译将逐渐成为 翻译的趋势。异化翻译突出表现平等与尊重异质文化，抵制强势文化 的霸权主义，适应全球文化的发展，有利于地缘政治的建立。而归化 翻译则是不平等的文化交流。随着世界经济、政治、文化发展的一体 化趋势加强，越来越多的译者运用异化翻译策略来保护本国传统文 化。 本文首先概述归化翻译和异化翻译的概念以及长期以来中西方 关于二者存在的争论。翻译的政治的概念和由来，以及翻译的政治性 表现范围：文学翻译和民族文化的构建，后殖民主义与后殖民主义翻 译。民族文化的构建，政治权力的制约和后殖民主义都会影响翻译策 略的选择。本文通过举例说明，从古至今中国的翻译先是经历了异化 为主，接着归化为主以及后来的异化逐渐增多的趋势，都是由于译者 在其所处的政治背景之下，为了引进西方先进技术和优秀文化而采用 的翻译策略。其次，在后殖民主义出现以后，在政治权力的背景之下， 西方强国对第三世界的文化侵略愈加明显，在翻译领域，他们采取归 化翻译策略来实现其暴力，大量删改发展中国家的民族文化精粹。严 重损害了他们的民族自尊和破坏了他们的传统文化。而伴随全球化的 发展，发展中国家开始抵制文化侵略。在翻译领域里的突出表现就是， 异化翻译策略的逐渐增多。最后，通过以上综述，得出结论：在翻译 领域，异化翻译策略将成为必然趋势。 关键词：翻译的政治；异化翻译；归化翻译；文化霸权 a b s t r a c t t h ep a p e rs e e k st ot e s t i f yt h ei n e v i t a b l et e n d e n c yo ff o r e i g n i z a t i o n s t r a t e g yi nt r a n s l a t i o nf r o mt h ep o l i t i c so ft r a n s l a t i o np e r s p e c t i v e a f t e r t h e s t u d y o ft h ed e b a t e sb e t w e e nd o m e s t i c a t i o n s t r a t e g y a n d f o r e i g n i z a t i o ns t r a t e g yi nt h et r a n s l a t i o nh i s t o r yf o rav e r yl o n gt i m e ，t h e p a p e re x a m i n e st h ep r o b l e m si n t r a d i t i o n a lt r a n s l a t i o ns t u d i e sa n d p r o c e e d st os t u d yp o l i t i c s o ft r a n s l a t i o n d o m e s t i c a t i o nr e f e r st o t a r g e t -
