本论文通过运用系统功能语言学的理论对附录中的5 封推销信函作出了功能分 析，从而例证了功能语篇分析的过程，目的在于评价推销信函的有效性和发掘推销 信函里使其达到最终目的的语言特点。本研究以系统功能语言学作为理论框架，采 用由上而下的分析次序，也就是从文化语景到情景语境，到句子，到词组再到衔接 这一次序。为了达到研究目的和目标，本论文由5 个部分组成：第一部分介绍本研 究的目的与目标，第二部分是关于功能语言学和语篇分析的文献综述，第三部分详 述了功能语言学的理论框架，第四部分分析并讨论了五封信函的语篇模式，小旬的 意义，名词词组的语言特点和衔接，最后一部分总结本研究并回答第一部分提出的 四个研究问题。定性的分析方法将贯穿整个研究。 研究结果表明：推销信函的语篇模式并不是必然包含h u a n ga n dm o h s e n ( 2 0 0 6 ) 提出的7
