摘要 文化因素在英汉翻译中的处理，最近越来越受到人们的关注。翻 译不仅仅是简单的两种语言的转换，更是一种文化的交流。翻译的重 要任务就是忠实地传递原语的文化信息，把一种语言所承载的信息毫 无遗漏地用另一种语言表达出来。因为英汉属于两种完全不同的语言 体系，存在较大的文化差异，产生了文化冲突，翻译中最大的障碍就 是文化冲安_ 酩存踱。由于人们赋予语言以不同的文化内涵，因而，在 翻译的过程中就构成了文化障碍，难以在译语中找到和原语文化意义 相对应的、具有承载同样文化信息的表达方式，这样就构成了英汉翻 译中的文化冲突。因此，翻译过程中如何对待和处理文化冲突，无论 在理论上或实践上都是一个意义十分重大的课题。 本论文着重分析英汉翻译中的文化冲突。文章首先介绍语言、文 化、翻译及其他们之间的关系，继而从词汇，句法，篇章，成语及谚 语等方面论述英汉翻译中可能出现的文化冲突。然后探讨产生文化冲 突的原因，即翻译作为一种跨文化的交际活动，当原语和目的语两种 语言所处的文化背景在历史文化发展、宗教信仰、地理位置、价值标 准、思维方式等方面出现比较大的差异时，生活在这些差异比较大的 人文状况下的人们对客观世界的认识就会出现比较大的差异，表现在 语言中就是表达形式会有比较大的差别。最后对如何通过翻译尽量缩 小
