摘要 爱尔兰作家詹姆斯乔伊斯( 1 8 8 2 1 9 4 1 ) 是世界文学上里程碑式的人物。尽 管乔伊斯的作品，特别是其后期的作品艰深晦涩，但却篇篇都是流传后【廿的经典 之作。而作为其第一部重要的长篇小说，青年艺术家的肖像的文学价值自然 也不容低估。西方文学界对肖像的沦述早已是汗牛充栋，这些论述的存在一 方面证明了该作品本身的价值，另一方面也证明了此文本的研究空间及对其进行 进一步研究的可能性。 本文借鉴了维特根斯坦和福柯的思想，力求从话语分析这一新的视角剖析肖 像中的成k 丰题。语言、个体存在和现实世界这三者从来就密小可分。语言是 人存在的寓所，人通过语言了解进而改造现实世界。肖像的丰人公斯蒂芬在 现实世界中的成长和挣扎也首先表现在他的语言上。因此，从话语的角度勾勒斯 蒂芬在现实世界及语言世界中的成长肖像不仅有助于我们理解小说本身，也有助 于我们认识自身的存在意义。 本文在简要地概括了爱尔兰作家乔伊斯的牛平及肖像在国内外的研究现状 的基础上，根据维特根斯坦的语言观分析斯蒂芬的成长过程。斯蒂芬不仅牛活于 一个物质世界，同样也身处于语言世界，因此他的成长不仅表现在他对外部世界 的理解认识过程中，也表现在他的语言习得中，解读斯蒂芬的语言，就能解开他 的成长密码。然后本文依据福柯的权力与主体思想，集中描绘斯蒂芬的主体意识 在话语中的产生过程。在福柯看来，自我主体这个概念是由话语构建，而且只 能在他人话语的知识和权力中实现。随着个体所处的社会话语的不断变化，人对 自我的认识也会随之改变。这个改变过程就是人的成长过程。经过深入的文本分 析，本文指出：斯蒂芬对自我的认识，经历了从幼时的“小布谷鸟”到后束的“无 可救药的罪人”及到最后的“一个游离于一切秩序之外的个体存在”的变化过程， 这一成长历程不仅体现了主人公对社会价值观的反思，也表现了他对自我价值的 追求。最后，论文从福柯规训权力的角度闸释了主人公的流亡。存福柯看来，秩 序的基本表现形式是人类社会的种种规训权力，而斯蒂芬将自己幻想成“一个游 离于一切秩序之外的个体存在”，并日最终选择了流亡，正是企图摆脱这一与人 类话语、人类社会及人类文明紧密相关的舰训权力。但是没有哪个人类社会能脱
