摘要 随着中国改革开放的进一步发展，社会主义市场经济体制不断完善，有关法 律文献的翻译在中外法律文化交流上越来越重要，也有利于在国内建立更加优势 的贸易投资环境。尤其是中国加入世贸组织以来，法律文献的翻译对调整我国经 济结构和改善投资环境发挥着不可或缺的作用。但是，众所周知，法律文献大都 复杂，晦涩难懂。法律工作者都很难弄明白法律语言，更不要说普通人。法律存 在于我们日常生活的方方面面，约束着人们的言谈举止。大部分时候，很多法律 会造成公众和政府之间产生矛盾，诉讼和缺乏信任。为了避免类似情况的发生， 我们有责任交流更加清晰。而简明英语简单清楚，可以有效准确的帮助人们去沟 通。 在这种情况下，一场所谓的“简明英语运动 在世界范围内开展起来，对英 语本身，尤其是法律英语产生了广泛影响。尽管很多学者对这场简明运动持有争 议，但事实是由于此类事件的推动，法律语言在简明化方面确实有所改进，已经 取得了一定成果。“简明英语运动是必要也是重要的，给社会和个人带来很大 的好处。法律英语还是一门新兴学科。虽然目前出现一些有关“简明法律英语” 方面的研究和探讨，但是大多比较笼统宽泛。毫无疑问，简明法律英语有着广阔 的研究前景。本篇论文从法律语言结构出发，分析阐述了法律英语在法律文献翻 译中简明化这一趋势。 本篇论文共分五章，主要从词汇，句子，篇章三方面，运用大量实例分析了 简明英语对现代法律英语及其翻译的影响。 第一章，论文的导入部分，简要介绍了本篇论文所要探讨的几个方面，包括法 律语言，法律翻译及简明英语。 第二章，主要介绍法律英语的特点，包括词汇特征，句法特征和问题特征。 第三章，主要介绍了“简明英语运动 在世界各地的开展，包括取得的成就， 意义及其影响。针对一些围绕简明英语所出现的新旧批评性理论进行 探讨。进一步分析简明化的法律英语特点。本章的目的是为了表明简 明英语已越来越受到人们的认可和欢迎。 第四章，这一部分是全文的重点。对简明英语在法律文献翻译中的应用做了一 个综合分析，通过大量引例举证，从法律语言结构的角度，对比两种 不同的翻译来探讨简明英语在法律翻译中的影响。总共分三部分，从 词汇，语句和篇章三个层面进行分析。
