摘要 从存在主义角度探索看不见的人中的身份认同 英语语言文学专韭 研究生王藏指导教师张顺赴 披尔夫沃尔多埃剥森( 1 9 1 4 - 1 9 9 4 ) 凭措一部长篇小说看不见的 人一跃成为当代美国重要作家之一。这部小说一经闻世就得到文学界、评 论界及政界的广泛关注。小说之所以被译成十几种语言广为阅读，不仅仅因 为 乍者对于象征手法、超现实主义和毒鲁士音乐的绝妙运用，以及，l 、说所具 有的丰富黑人特色的民俗文化，而且更具意义的是作品以一个没有身份的黑 人青年的生活经历为代表、深层次展现和透析现代社会的人寻找认同的艰辛 历程。受存在主义的影镌小说极力探索人性的异纯、务份危机和失落等人 类所面临的重大问题。尽管没有充分的证据表明小说作者是以存在主义的视 角写作而马克巴斯比在拉尔夫埃利森一书中却一语道破，“看 不见的入遭遇荒谬，体现了存在这一主题。”实际上在小说各细节中展 现了相当多的“存在”因素，存在主义成为条嚎线，贯穿垒书，将小说的 主题推向一个新意度。所以，要解读看不见的人的深邃内涵，存在生义 应该是一个睹当的切入点，循此而进，探究小说主人公的身份缺失、追寻身 份认同和文化认同等问题，这正楚本论文的主旨。 本文第一章着重奔绍存在主义的代表人物、主要观点以及在小说中的运 用和体现。看不见的人中的存在主义因素于曲折中点染全篇，另外大多 数学者认为这部作品深受费奥多陀斯妥耶夫斯基的地下宣手记的影响， 弼地下室拳记又被公认为存在主义文学。因此，靥存在主义瑗论这一视 角或可深化对小说的研究。本章第三部分主要分析了小说主人公的身份危 机，这也是能寻我身份认同的直接蘸匿。 第二章是全文的核心，讨论小说中的生存认同问题。小说一开头主人公 就承认自己是个“看不见的人”，而他的不可见源于他的存在没有得到认同。 因此，通过对小说中“看不觅”的影射，富有深刻意义的姓名戬及象征的讨 论，本章旨在探索主人公对手生存认同的追寻。对于人们，得到生存认婀是 最基本的，因此意义重大，甚至从广义上讲，全人类都需要得到存在的认同。 第三章重点剖析小说体现的文化认同问题。毫无疑问，小说的主题是主 人公对于宣鸯存在认同的追逐，但稻时饱也满望整个黑入民族豹文化褥鬟承
