9 7 1 年韩礼德对威廉戈尔丁的长篇小说继承者成功地进行及物 性分析之后，及物性系统已成为了语篇分析领域一项有力的分析工具。然而，将 及物性理论应用于中文语篇的分析却并不常见，而将中英两种语言的及物性系统 进行对比分析的文章就更是少之又少了。本文从刘易斯卡罗尔的名著爱丽斯 漫游奇境的英文原版和中文译本中各选取了三个段落，对其中的及物性结构进 行了定量分析，以探讨世界上最有影响力的两种语言间及物性系统中的异同，并 尝试对其中缘由加以解释。 本文以系统功能语言学作为其理论背景，采用韩礼德的及物性理论作为分析 英文语篇的理论框架，采用韩礼德和麦克唐纳的及物性理论作为分析中文语篇的 理论框架来对所选取的六个语篇进行分析。 研究结果发现，两种语言及物性系统的相似之处在于：物质过程在所有过程 类型中所占比重最大，中英文中的关系过程小句所占比重十分相近，并且同英文 一样，中文中的认同型关系小句也是可逆的。差异在于：在中文的被动语态中， 动词的形态并不会改变，形容词可以担任过程的角色，而且在两种语言的存在型 小句中，存在者作为信息焦点时的位置也有所不同。本研究认为，社会使用需要 和及物性系统中的不确定领域两个方面是中英两种语言中存在的上述异同的原
