哈尔滨理工大学文学硕士学位论文 中国日报与泰晤士报新闻文体特点研究 摘要 在未来世界中，信息就是力量，获得信息和传播信息都将成为衡量一个 国家和民族在世界上的地位和影响的重要标志。为了满足经济和社会快速发 展的需要，英语报纸成为了传播新闻和信息的一个重要的媒体。语言的学习 主要是一个实践的过程。对于英语学习者来说，阅读英文报刊能学习最新的 英语、了解变化的世晃。通过阅读英文报刊，人们不仅能扩大词汇量，增强语 感，领会词汇的内涵，而且它是学习和掌握现代英语的最重要、最简洁、最有 效的途径之一。对于旨在通过阅读英文报刊来提高英语能力的人们来说， 熟悉新闻的文体特点颇为重要。一些非英语国家，比如中国，也发行自己的 英文报中国日报在中国是最受欢迎的英语新闻报纸。然而在英文报纸 中，也存着多种文体。许多英语学习者在阅读中发现：同样是英语新闻报 道，在英语国家和中国所出版的报纸中，除了相同之处之外，仍然存在相当 大的差异。语言学界很少对英文新闻的文体特征进行全面而系统的研究，尤 其是关于英语国家和非英语国家的英文报纸所报道的新闻文体对比研究更是 少之又少。 目前的研究目的是基于假设尽管中国日报和泰晤士报都是英 文报纸，但是通过研究发现两份报纸存在着很多的相异性本文从近一年来出 版的c h i n ad a i l y ( 中国日报英文版) 和t h et i m e s ( 泰晤士报) 中 共选取了六篇文章、三组分别针对同一事件的新闻报道，从普通文体学理论 框架出发，用量化分析的方法，就词汇、形式、句法层面对两份报纸的文体 特征进行比较分析，得出他们的差异性。 该研究通过对比研究加深和扩展了对英文新闻的文体学方面的研究，同 时，其语料的精心筛选也扩大了文体学理论的运用范围，此外，也对中国英语
