内容摘要 文体学是连接语言学和文学批评的桥梁，它以相关的语言学理论为工具，对文 学文本的语言特征进行描述和分析，研究语言特征与主体意义和美学效果的关系， 从而避免对文学作品主观直觉式的阐释。随着现代语言学的不断发展，现代文体学 也取得了长足的发展，出现了很多的分支，如“形式文体学”、“功能文体学”、“话 语文体学”、“社会历史文化文体学”、“文学文体学”、“语言学文体学”等。 将文体学应用于小说翻译研究具有非常重要的意义，因为这种研究既可以指导 译者更好地把握小说中语言形式的美学功能和文体价值，又能促使译者在翻译实践 中使用文体功能对等的语言成分，以保留原文的主题意义和美学价值。文体学还可 以帮助翻译批评家提高文体意识，使他们在研究中更注重文本形式与文本主体的相 互关系。 文学作品的文学价值体现在内容和呈现内容的形式两方面。就小说而言，其形 式不仅包括词汇、句法等不犀的微观层次，也包括小说的叙事视角和人物话语的不 同表达等宏观层次，因而小说的内容及其微观和宏观层次的形成共同构成了小说的 文学价值和艺术魅力。正是从这种意义上说，文体学理论对小说翻译及译本批评具 有指导和借鉴意义。 孽子是台湾著名作家白先勇历经千年写成的难一一部长篇小说。作为台湾 甚至中国当代文学历史上的第一部以同性恋为主题的小说，自出版之日起便备受关 注。1 9 9 0 年之后，该书被译成多种语言( 英、日、法、德) 在国外出版。该书的英 译本“c r y s t a lb o y s ”，由g a ys u n s h i n ep r e s s 出版发行，美国著名汉学家h o w a r d ( 3 0 l d b l a t t ( 葛浩文) 翻译。然而遗憾的是，国内外译界迄今还无人对孽子的英译
