哈尔滨 ：程人学硕士学位论文 摘要 习语是语言发展的结晶，是语言词汇的重要组成部分和精华。中英两种 语言中都有大量的习语。习谮形式简洁而意崽精辟，使语言更加凝练，更具 有表现力。许多翻译工作者在翻译中最害1 怕习语认为习语是翻译中最伤脑 筋而又无法回避的成分。本文鉴于此对习语的翻译作了理论性的探讨。 全文共分成六个章节。 第一章引言部分 第二章习语的定义和它的所指范围。习语在语言中的重要性以及习语理 解中的难点。 第三章介绍了习语的特点。首先从习语的民族性入手，其次又分析了习 语的文化负载方面的特色以及习语的语言特色。 第四章习语表达中的形象性。形象性是习语的典型特点。如何在翻译中 把习语的形象性传递出去是本文研究的重点。本章先从习语中比 喻修辞的运用八手。接着又分析了某些习语不含有形象性的特 点，以及许多习语具有形象性的特色。
