摘要 摘要 翻译活动的实质是语言之间意义的转换，包括理解和表达两个基本阶段。在 翻译过程中，不管是理解阶段还是表达阶段，语言意义的确立都必须依靠语境， 孤零零的一个词往往是没有意义的。“语境 即语言所处的环境，是人们理解和解 释话语意义的依据。以前人的研究为基础，语境可分为上下文语境，情景语境和 文化语境。语言是文化的载体，二者相辅相成又相互交融。语言，文化，翻译之 间存在密不可分的关系。任何人类活动都发生在一定的文化范围之内。因此，从 系统功能语法角度来看，在所有语境中文化语境起着最主要的作用。文化语境对 于翻译活动的实际操作和具体翻译策略的选择都有着重要影响。 在文化语境的视角下，翻译活动的目的之一是文化交流和传播，体现着翻译 活动文化交流的社会功能。然而文化语境中的文化差异却在一定程度上影响了翻 译的实现，成为了翻译的一个潜在障碍。中国古典诗词作为富含文化特性的一种 文学形式，在一定程度上最能呈现出文化语境，同时对于中国古典诗词的翻译也 可以很好的体现出文化语境对翻译的影响。因此研究中国古典诗词中文化语境的 体现及如何适当处理其中的文化因素就具有了重要的理论及实践意义。对于实现 翻译活动的文化交流功能有很大帮助。本论文基于对语境学说理论的研究，结合 功能对等原则探讨了文化语境在中国古典诗词中的体现及文化语境中文化因素的 具体翻译方法。 本文共分五部分，第一章介绍了本论文的历史背景和研究目的。第二章回顾 了语境和文化语境学说的形成发展，着重讨论了文化语境理论并探讨了翻译和文 化语境的关系。第三章研究文化语境在中国古典诗词中的体现。通过对大量中国 古典诗词不同英译版本的案例进行比较研究，将文化语境中容易引起误解的文化 因素进行了讨论分类，最主要的方面为历史，地理和社会因素。第四章，通过例 举大量实证，探讨并归纳总结了中国古典诗词英译过程中为体现原文文化语境并 同时保证译文接受度可采取的有效翻译策略，如音译，省略，文化置换等等。最 后一章为结论部分，对整篇论文的发现贡献进行了总结，同时说明了论文存在的 局限性，也指出了在该领域进一步研究可能进行的方向。 关键词：文化语境中国古典诗词文化要素翻译 a b s t r
