中文摘要 西方有研究隐喻的传统从p l a t o ，历经a r i s t o t l e ， q u i t i n l l i a n , c i r c e r o 。中世纪的d o c t o l rj o h n s o n 以及本世纪的 r i c h a r d s ，l a k o f f 和i - i a l l i d a y 等，可以梳理出一条连续不断的， 清晰的隐喻研究线索在西方，尤其是在美国，二十世纪七十年 代是一个令隐喻研究者兴奋的年代兴奋是因为这十年问的 学术界对隐喻研究的兴趣达到了狂热的地步。以隐喻为主题 的学术研讨会接二连三。人们对隐喻现象的研究范围和视野 大大地扩展了隐喻已经成为哲学、语言学、心理学等很多 学科的研究对象。目前骆喻研究领域的焦点问题之一是其作 为一种思维模式的认知功能，而不再是作为一种修辞手段的 装饰功能。然而值得注意的是，人们虽然已经认识到隐喻的 认知功能，但用来说明该功能的例证多出白于文学作品，所 造成的错觉是在科技语言这个旨在揭示人类认知过程和报告 认知世界成果的语言使用中并不存在隐喻现象。令人鼓舞的 是在西方对科技隐喻的研究已经初见端倪，并出现在我国的 语言学界。 本文主要讨论了e s t 中的隐喻( e s t 是指科技英语) 。 首先从西方对待科技语篇隐喻的态度一支持和贬斥，入手， 通过人类认知能力的局限性和科学的发展两点对逻辑实证主 义进行批判，逻辑实证主义主张：“科技语篇应使用自描式的 语言”，进而支持科技语篇中存在隐喻的观点。文章对隐喻研 究的历史进行了研究提供了一条清晰连贯的隐喻研究线索， 并且为科技语篇中的隐喻研究提供了理论依据通过以前研 究的基础，本文对科技英语隐喻的重要作用，类型以及语言 特点进行了讨论。尝试将隐喻作为教授科技英语语篇的手段， 挖掘学生的隐喻智力，力图探索科技隐喻对教学更深的启示， 并进行了教学尝试。通过教与学的尝试，文章总结了隐喻在 科技语篇教学中的长处。由于科技语篇隐喻的研究还处于较 新的尝试阶段，所以实验中也出现了一些有待解决的问题。 关键词：科技语篇、科技隐喻、隐喻、认知 a b s t r a c r t h e r ei sal o n gh i s t
