摘要 本论文结合了关联理论及乖讹消解模式，探究笑话中的幽默生成机制。证 明关联理论能够解释听众如何解读幽默，并能预测其解读过程中的具体认知行 为，因而能帮助幽默作家设计幽默会话。 从关联理论视角来看，笑话的初始部分往往提供一个最可及的解读，即听 众付出最小的认知努力就能获取最大的认知效果。这符合关联理论的第一原则 ( 认知原则) ，即人类认知倾向于同最大关联相吻合。在笑话的第二部分，幽默 作家通过妙语( p u n c hl i n e ) 创设一个有悖于听众先前认知的乖讹( 不和谐) ， 这样听众即陷入错愕，面临着消解乖讹的任务。所以他们不得不摒弃包含最大 关联的解读，转而探求包含最佳关联的较隐秘的解读。而幽默效果正是来自于 最佳关联和最大关联的反差。 听众对于某些人群及事物的模式化假想对幽默解读也有一定作用。那些看 似惊异实则符合听众模式化假想的笑话尤其能产生幽默效果。此外，在理解某 些笑话时，听众所作的语境假设发生微妙的框架转换。即当听众发现一系列积 极的( 社会认可的) 假设不能解释妙语时，他们启动较消极的联想圈来对此进行 解释。 本文作者设计了一份幽默解读认知流程图，表明听众在实现第一阶段解读 向第二阶段解读转换的过程中消解乖讹，从而获取幽默效果。然而乖讹的成功 消解受到一些因素的影响。听众对“幽默游戏”的积极态度促使他们调动一切相 关背景知识，克服困惑情绪，最终消除认知不和谐因素，体会幽默回报的快 感。但是如果乖讹太过隐蔽微妙，或是听众缺乏理解妙语所需的背景知识，笑 话的幽默效果则无从体会。 关键词：幽默；关联理论；乖讹一消解；最大关联；最佳关联 a b s t r a c t t h e p r e s e n tt h e s i si n t e
