副其实的“英语教育大国，目前中小学在校学习英语的人数已经接近l 亿( 贾爱武 2 0 0 5 ) ，英语教育事业正在我国蓬勃发展。随着英语教育向基础教育阶段的延伸，小学 英语教育的效果越来越关系着我国未来英语教育水平的发展。对小学英语教学的研究就 变得更加的重要。 随着认知心理学的发展研究者们开始关注教师的信念对其教学行为的影响。大量的 研究表明教师的教学信念影响其教学行为。国外对教师信念与课堂教学的研究已经取得 了很大的成果，但是在我国对于教师信念的研究开始的比较晚，目前大多数现有的研究 仍旧以介绍西方的理论和研究成果为主，本土研究比较少，少数实证研究中绝大部分又 都是针对大学英语教师所展开的，对我国的基础阶段英语教师的研究没有得到应有的重 视。对基础阶段英语教师信念的研究将有利于基础阶段英语教师的自我发展，从而提高 我国的整体师资水平，最终达到提高我国的英语教学水平的目的。 本研究以人本主义和社会建构主义理论为基础，以大连市的小学英语教师为研究对 象，通过对1 5 位分别工作在大连市内四个行政区的四所小学的英语教师进行了问卷调 查、访谈和课堂观察，研究了当前大连市小学英语教师的教学信念和实际的课堂行为。 通过研究作者发现大连市小学在职英语教师大多已经接受了先进的教学信念，但通过实 际的课堂观察和访谈却发现教师的课堂行为与其教学信念并不完全一致。传统的教学信 念仍然在教师的信念系统中占据着中心的位置影响着教师的教学行为，先进的教学信念 在教师的信念系统中处于边缘的位置，教师并没有用先进的教学信念指导其实际的教学 实践。 提高小学英语教学的效果，需要加强对在职教师的专业化培训，组织小学英语教师 学习先进的教学理论，同时要重视在培训中对在职教师进行实践性指导，帮助教师在实 际课堂实践中自觉运用先进的教学信念来指导自己的教学行为。英语教师要通过不断地 对自己的教学信念和教学行为的反思，来提高教学效果，实现自己的专业化发展。 另外在研究中作者发现小学英语授课课时少，以及来自家长、学校、和社会的压力 等一些因素会影响小学英语教师的教学行为，因此要提高英语教学水平实现英语教学改 革提高教学水平需要全社会的共同努力。 关键词小学英语教师；教学信念；课堂行为 、 a s t u
