上海大学2 0 0 7 硕士学位论文 摘要 广告是现代生活中不可或缺的组成部分，它在促进商品销售和指导人们消 费等方面起着日益重要的不可估量的作用。随着经济全球化的加深，广告在传 递信息方面也起到了关键性的作用。广告有多种形式存在，比如语言、声音、 图像、音乐等，不过语言的作用是最重要的。因此，研究广告语言显得尤为重 要。在本文中作者主要集中于研究英语广告语言。 广告语言的重要特点就是简洁性和连贯性。通过对大量的英语广告的分析， 作者发现，语用学中的主要研究对象之一的预设经常被广告制作者所运用，以 保证话语的连贯性，加强广告的说服功能，并且帮助广告制作者逃避法律责任。 在对英美报刊、杂志中的大量英语广告语言分析的基础上，本文研究了英语 广告语言对预设的运用，以及预设在帮助广告达到其目的过程中所发挥的作用。 以期帮助广告达到其最佳效果，同时也为更好的理解预设提供新的视角。 本文共分五个章节： 第一章为序言，介绍了本文的研究背景，研究目的以及文献综述。 第二章，回顾了广告和预设的相关理论，包括广告的定义，广告的特点，广 告的功能和预设触发语，语义预设和语用预设的相关定义及区别，以及预设的 五种不同类型。本章还讨论了几个与预设相关的理论，它们是含义，蕴涵和断 言。
