Key vocabulary: take care, sir, officer, stupid, take off, jacket2. Keys structure: Sentence structure.【能力目标】Use the points of this unit very freely.【情感目标】Get the students to enjoy the scenery of the nature. 教学重难点【教学重点】To understand a play happened during a trip.【教学难点】To write about something that happened during a trip. 课前准备1.课前准备:调试光盘与课件、给学生分组、为学生布置预习作业等; 2.教具学具:光盘、大卡片等。 教学过程Step1. Words1.Teach the new words and phrases in the lesson with the Chinese explanation and exact pronunciation.2.Show the Chinese meanings to let student answer English correspondents.3.Encourage students to talk about the journey they have done with these new words. Step2. Talking1.Get students to talk about the trip and their attitudes towards trips.Do you like travelling?How do you travel?Which way do you like best?2.Let students figure out the transportations used in the TV programme.Step3. Learning1.Teach the important words and phrases with their collocations. Encourage students to employ them.2.Teach the language patterns. And then let students make drills.Li Lin and Li Wei are on the station platform, saying goodbye to each other.Im afraid youre sitting in my seat.Oh, how stupid of me!3. Look at the expressions below. What do you think the play will be about?4. Work in groups. Try to make a paragraph according to your guessing. Find the best group to make the story.5.Carefully observe the very details of train tickets and let students talk about their new discoveries in English.6.Listen to the play and number the expressions in Activity 1 in the order they appear.7. Look through the play and choose the correct answer.8.Attest whether the statements below are true or not according to the text.9. Complete the passage with the words and expressions in the box.10. Work in groups. Choose one plot and act it out to see which group does the best.Step4. Language points1. elderly, 形容词,是委婉用语,意为“上了年纪的”,外国人一般不说old man而用elderly man代替,the elderly泛指老人。 elder指“年长的(尤指家庭成员之间)”,只能修饰人;在句中作定语,不能作表语;elder不能和than连用。older既可修饰人,也可修饰物;在句中既可作定语,也可作表语;older可以和than连用。2. have sth. ready 表示“把某物准备好”。3. takeoff表示“脱下”,其反义短语是puton穿上。takeoff还可以表示“起飞”,其反义词是land降落。4. as long as在这里引导条件状语从句,表示“只要”,也可以用so long as表达同样的意思。Step5. Writing1. Write a short play about a trip you have made. Think about:When and where you wentHow you travelledWho travelled with youWhat happened during the tripHow the story ended2.Let students write the play of the topic above at class or after class and sort out the best and problematic writings, on which teacher can give detailed comments to the whole class.Step6. Summary1.Summarize the main sentence patterns in the unit.2.Show the important phrases to consolidate the learned knowledges.3.Test students on the spelling and Chinese meanings of words. When finished, students exchange their papers to see who does the best.Step
