摘要 萧伯纳是继莎士比亚之后英国又一位伟大的戏剧家，他创作的一系列优秀 戏剧作品至今仍有深远的社会意义和独特的研究价值。国内外众多学者从不同角 度对其作品进行了广泛研究。本文旨在结合女性主义理论，探讨萧伯纳在华伦 夫人的职业这部戏剧中极具代表性的两位女性人物，希望以此来丰富对这位作 家的研究。 本文从女性主义的视角深入分析了剧中两位女主人公从而反映了在男权社 会女性的反叛精神及资本主义制度的罪恶。毫无疑问，作为“堕落女性 的代表， 华伦夫人所从事的不光彩的职业是对当时父权制的一个巨大挑战。然而，萧伯纳 对毫无经济实力与社会地位的女性却予以了极大的同情。与华伦夫人和其他传统 女性不同的是，薇薇是新女性的代表，她的自立、勇敢和觉醒使她朝着与传统相 反的方向走去。作为一位传统男性作家，萧伯纳尽管对当时女性的现状予以了极 大的关注并试图为其指明方向，但出于自身的局限性，华伦夫人和薇薇的出路似 乎是不可取的。 依据女性主义的理论观点，本文对男权社会下的女性命运进行了重新解读。 本文可以分为六部分：第一部分是对全文的总体介绍，其中包括概括介绍了萧伯 纳的生平及其艺术成就，华伦夫人的职业的主题及故事梗概，论文研究重要 性，研究重要性及论文框架结构；第二部分是国内外有关萧伯纳及其作品研究的 文献综述；第三部分是有关女性主义的理论概述并综合分析了华伦夫人的职业 和女性主义在理论和实践方面的关系；第四部分针对文中极具代表性的两位女性 人物从女性主义的角度进行了综合分析：一是“堕落女性 的代表，一是“新女 性”的代表，第五部分对两位女性人物出路进行了反思；最后是文章的结论部分。 关键词：父权制；女性主义；“堕落女性，；新女性”；华伦夫人的职业 i l a b s t r a c t g e
