Words1.Show pictures related to the difficult words and phrases to facilitate students perception.2.Teacher ask questions to students and students answer them with the new words and phrases to enhance their own memory.3.Show the Chinese meanings to let student answer English correspondents.4.Encourage students to make up English sentences in the given sentence patterns.Step2. Language points1. look after 照顾，照料近义短语： take care of 照顾； 照料常见的look短语还有: look at, look for, look like, look up等。2. catch up 追上，赶上catch up with 赶上 / 追上keep up with 跟上，不落在后面come up with 赶上; 接近，走近想出，提出，提议。3. call for 喊着叫某人来call for 还有“要求喊着叫人取来某物，邀请，需要”的意思。4. 这里 nothing serious 表示“不很严重， 没什么大事”。形容词作定语一般要放在名词前面，但当形容词修饰不定代词something，nothing，anything时要放在所修饰的不定代词之后。5. call off 取消；决定终止与call有关的短语还有： call on 拜访某人；号召 call at 参观某地 call for 喊着叫某人来；邀请，需要 call out 大声呼叫 call in 尤指向工作单位打电话汇报 call sb. in 请某人来帮忙 call up 打电话；召唤。6. reach out 伸出(手或臂)；reach for 伸手去拿。7. still adj. 静止的；不动的Step5.
