课程性质基础英语(一)是一门综合英语技能课,也是高等院校英语语言文学专业的一门专业基础课,教学对象是英语专业本科一年级学生。本课程主要通过语言基础训练与篇章讲解分析,系统地讲授英语语言基础知识,加强基本技能的训练,培养学生英语听、说、读、写、译等方面的能力和对英语国家文化知识的掌握能力。教学目的本课程主要通过语言基础训练与篇章讲解分析,使学生提高语篇阅读理解能力,了解英语各种文体的表达方式和特点,扩大词汇量和熟悉英语常用句型,具备基本的口头和笔头表达能力,鼓励学生积极参与课堂的各种语言交际活动以获得基本的交际技能,并达到高等学校英语专业英语教学大纲所规定的听、说、读、写、译等技能的要求。本课程的基本要求:学生通过对本课程的学习,应掌握英语语言基础知识,具备一定的能力和学习英语国家文化知识。1、基础知识的掌握:语言体系知识。语言体系知识指语音、词汇和语法结构等方面的内容。话语知识。语言教学必须努力创造交际气氛,学生必须学习种种话语交际所要求的知识,譬如,如何开始谈话,如何结束谈话,如何有效地组织信息,如何利用和处理对方的信息,如何掌握使用语言的分寸等等。给学生营造话语交际环境,使学生能够将语言形式和话语情景紧密地结合在一起,提高学生运用语言的“得体程度”。(appropriateness)“常用语”知识。学生必须掌握大量英美人日常生活用语,并且懂得何时何地使用它们,提高运用语言的流利性和准确性。2、能力的培养:学习者学习策略能力语言尝试能力语言思维能力3、文化知识的学习:语言是文化的载体,文化又是语言的土壤。所以,学生在学习英语的同时,必须高度重视英语国家的社会文化知识。教学内容基础英语(一)课程为一个学年,每周5学时。课堂主要以课文为中心,侧重阅读和写作技能训练,但也不偏废听、说训练。所用教材为李观仪主编、上海外语教育出版社出版的新编英语教程(第1、2册),每册15个单元,计划每学期讲授11个单元。每单元都有两篇对话,一篇以语言结构、情节和题材为重点,另一篇以语言功能为重点。课堂教学以语法结构为基础,侧重于学生在基础阶段的听说能力的培养,讲授的内容包括language structures,dialogue i,dialogue ii,reading i,reading ii,guided writing以及interactive activities。教学时数分配本课程学总学时数为160学时。课堂教学每周5学时。本课程所用教材是由李观仪主编,上海外语教育出版社出版的新编英语教程(第1、2册),每学期使用一册。第一学期:章 号各 序教学环节学 activities)、“写作”(guided writing)训练环节,也可安排学生自学部分章节,练习册(workbook)中的听写、听力理解、段落翻译亦可视情况作取舍,教师应通过灵活的方式进行检查。教学方式1、以学生为主体,教师为主导,注重培养学生的学习能力和研究能力。2、多开展以任务为中心的、形式多样的教学活动。在加强基础训练的同时,采用启发式、讨论式及交际教学法,充分调动学生的积极性,激发学生的学习动机,最大限度地让学生参与学习的全过程。3、引导学生主动积极地利用现有图书资料和网上信息,获取知识,同时培养各种能力。4、根据不同的教学对象、教学内容、教学目的和要求,选择相应的教学方法进行教学。5、在教师的指导下有目的地、有计划地、有组织地进行课外学习和实践,活动应面向全体学生,注意发展个性,提倡人人参与,培养合作精神。鼓励学生积极参加与专业相关的各种社会实践活动,如英语协会、英语讲故事比赛、英语演讲、英语晚会、英语角等活动。6、积极采用现代的、多元的和全方位的教学模式,在充分利用原有的电教设备的基础上,积极探索和开发计算机辅助教学。有准备、逐步地开展符合教学特点的多媒体教学。第一学期unit 课程性质基础英语(二)是一门综合英语技能课,也是高等院校英语语言文学专业的一门专业基础课,教学对象是英语专业本科二年级学生。本课程主要通过语言基础训练与篇章讲解分析,系统地讲授英语语言基础知识,加强基本技能的训练,培养学生英语听、说、读、写、译等方面的能力和对英语国家文化知识的掌握能力。教学目的本课程的主要目的在于培养和提高学生综合运用英语的能力,使学生逐步提高语篇阅读理解能力,了解英语各种文体的表达方式和特点,扩大词汇量和熟悉英语常用句型,具备基本的口头和笔头表达能力以及基本的交际技能。本课程的基本要求:1、基础知识的掌握。学生通过对本课程的学习,应掌握:语言体系知识(词汇、语法结构等方面的内容);话语知识(各种话语交际场合所要求的知识,比如,围绕某个话题展开语言活动时,如何有效的组织信息。目的是给学生创造一个话语环境,使学生能将语言形式和话语情景紧密地结合起来,以利于学生提高运用语言的得体程度。);“常用语”知识(要求学生掌握大量英美人日常生活中的常用语,并且懂得何时何地使用它们,以提高学生英语语言的流利性与准确性。)2、能力的培养。本课程采用新编英语教程(第三、四册)为教材,在听说训练方面,重点在于综合性训练。学生必须就某一话题进行从词汇、单句到语段个方面的综合训练,而且逐渐提高对创造性和话语连贯性的要求。学生必须在更广阔的范围内综合基础英语(一)所学过的功能项目,灵活地完成所规定的各种语言交际任务。在阅读理解与语言操练部分,要求学生不仅要能领会文章所传达的思想,复述故事的情节,还必须能用自己的话简明扼要的归纳段落和课文大意。3、文化背景和文化知识的掌握。4、要求学生用英英词典查阅单词并能用英语解释常用词汇。教学内容基础英语(二)课程为一个学年,每周6学时。课堂主要以课文为中心,侧重阅读和写作技能训练,但也不偏废听、说训练。所用教材为李观仪主编、上海外语教育出版社出版的新编英语教程(第3、4册),每册15个单元,计划每学期讲授11个单元。每单元讲授的内容包括text i, text ii, oral work及guided writing等,课堂上精讲text i并有选择的讲解配套练习册中的相关联系。根据课文的时效性及实用性,第4册中的个别单元将不在课堂教学内容之列(见如下教学时数分配表)。课堂教学围绕教材中出现的词汇、句型、语法、写作技巧等进行分析讲解,从而为学生打好坚实的语言基础;在讲述课文的过程中,对文中所涉及的文化哲学、社会学、人类学等背景知识进行必要补充,以提高学生对文化差异的敏感性、宽容性和处理文化差异的灵活性,培养学生跨文化交际能力。教学时数分配本课程学总学时数为196学时。每学期教学周平均为16周。课堂教学每周6学时。所用教材每册15单元,每学期课堂讲解至少包括11个单元,其余可安排学生自学。每单元的讲解约8课时。由于学生在第四学期要参加英语专业四级考试(tem4),故每单元课程结束后,利用适当课时对学生进行辅导。如果课时紧张,可取消互动环节(oral
