Module 1 How to learn EnglishUnit 2 You should smile at her!本课时编写:合肥市金湖中学 江立寒教材分析本模块主要内容是介绍学习方法,讨论在英语学习过程中所遇到的困难,并且通过问答等方式交流英语学习的方法和建议。本模块第二单元的主要内容是语言医生在线答疑。她主要针对三个方面的学习问题提出了建议。这三条建议是按照理解、表达、知识学习的结构排列的。教学目标1、 学生们通过自学、合作学习等方法,能够掌握学习英语的技巧,理解西方人如何提建议。2、 联想自己生活中有关建议的经历,掌握妥当征求和提供建议的方式。3、 通过学习提供建议,掌握与他人交流时语言的得体性,掌握如何照顾对方的情感,不要令对方感到不舒服,对于他人提建议表示感谢。教学重点1、英语学习的相关单词及提建议的相关句型。2.就如何学习英语提出建议。教学难点及突破难点:阅读能力的提升。突破:通过读前、读中、读后三个阶段逐步提升阅读能力。课前准备Tape recorder, Multimedia教学过程Step1LeadinTalk about different kinds of English learning activities.【设计意图】通过自由聊天方式,了解学生学习英语的各种活动。Step 2 Work in pairs, talk about problems you have with.1. Ask the students to work in pairs and talk about problems they have in the three areas given in bullet points.2. Give them two minutes for talking and then elicit their ideas.3. Make notes on the board and discuss with the whole class.【设计意图】本活动的目的在于激活本单元话题,为下面的阅读提供帮助。Step 3 Read the passage and find out what problems the students have.1. Tell the students to scan the passage and find the three points that are talked about in it.2. Elicit the three topics and write them as headings on the board.3. Tell the students to read the passage again more carefully and write notes on the board underline the specific information about the problems.4. Elicit the problems mentioned in the passage in details and write notes on the board under the headings.5. Get the students to work in pairs and find the suggested answers to the problems in the passage.6. Elicit the suggestions and write them under the problems on the board.【设计意图】引导学生找出课文中所列举的英语学习问题,从而快速获取所需要的信息,以培养学生通过阅读段落中的关键句子来获取信息的技能。Step 4 Complete the table.1. Get the students to look at the passage again and underline the students names.2. Tell them to write Dianas advice in the table.3.Ask the students to check their answers in pairs.【设计意图】本活动要求学生在读懂文章的前提下用自己的语言来重组信息。Step5. Complete the passage with the correct form of the words in the box.1. Read through the words in the box. Ask the students to repeat them.2. Ask them to read the passage and complete it on their own.3. Ask them to check their answers with a partner.4. Elicit full sentences from the whole class.【设计意图】本活动是在阅读理解基础上的词汇应用练习,目的是训练学生使用课本中的生词的能力。Step6. Check what you are good at or not good at in English.1. Ask the students to look at the table and check the things they are good at and the things they think they are not good at.2. Elicit from the whole class how many students checked each column.【设计意图】本活动是写前活动,属于信息收集阶段。Step7. Write a letter to Diana asking for advice.1. Ask the students to read the letter and point out the structure.2. Tell them to think of their main problem in learning English and write a similar letter to Diana asking for advice.3. Have them write their own letters. Go around and give help where necessary.【设计意图】本部分为写作活动,要求学生独立写作。Step8. Work in pairs. Read your partners letter. Write your advice.1. Ask the students to work in pairs to read their letters.2. Tell them one person reads out what the problem is and the partner gives advice.3. Ask them to write down their advice for their partners.【设计意图】本活动为写后活动,学生两人一组,交换求助信,并根据对方的求助信写一封回信,就对方学习中出现的问题给出相应的学习建议。Step9. HomeworkShare with
