Report - Investment Investigation report IntroductionIn this report, I will introduce the each company general condition about I chosen, and how do I gather these information and data, source of information. I will set objectives which is time objectives for collecting the information and data. Finally, I want to summarize simply the world economy trends in recent years. In the past four months, I invested in four companies in FTSE 100. They are Hammerson PLC, Associated British Foods, British Sky Broadcasting and Bhp Billition, which inceptively belongs to industry of building, food, mining and broadcasting.In the recent years, the world economy continued dropping, and leading to the gradual decrease in the stock market Especially in 2007 year, the international crude oil price reached the highest point, the secondary loan crisis broke up in USA, and the British cut interest and so on, which impacted both the world economy and stock market.Time schedule Nov.20Provided the price earnings, market capitalization, earning per share, dividend per share and divided yield.Nov.30 to Feb.15During the period, I had colleted the share price of each company weekly and researched the in news related to these companies, which led to better understand of the information about this project. Feb.22to Mar.28 Among this time, I had collected a lot of news and information from the newspaper and television about home and aboard. I had continued to gather the share prices of each company weekly. Meanwhile, I set up my investigation. Mar.30 to Apr.5I had communications with classmates about each companys share trends, and I had analyzed the some factors that have impacted on share prices. And I had compared the performance of each company with other company as the same sector.Apr.6I had draw up the report, and summarized the structure and contents. Apr.8 to Apr.11I had completed this report.The method of information collectionI had used some methods to gather more useful information and data about each company. From Nov.30 in year 2007, I had noted the share prices weekly and made it into excel. I had suffered the internet to download the hot news about my project in my spare time. Meanwhile, I had also watched the television and listened to the radio to gain the news. A useful way was to read the newspaper every day, especially the finance and economics newspaper including a majority of news about the share priceschanges and the news that have impacted on the share prices. Once falling across the useful information or data, I often copy them and used them in my report Of course, the oldest but the best available way was to go to the library. When lacking of knowledge about investment, I had gone to the library to learn and I had get more knowledge after that, which is extremely helpful to my writing of this report.Sources of informationIn order to complete my report better, I had gathered the information and data through out many sources. In this report, I will introduce the movement of share prices each company, and some economy trends on the basis of the data and information collected. According the news I collected, I will analyze the factors that impact on share prices and compare the performance of each company with other company as the same sector.
