This content has high relevance to students daily life.教学目标【知识目标】Key vocabulary: sofa bookcase bed table chairKey structures: A:Wheres the?B:Its on/in /under/behind/near the. 【能力目标】To master the use of some pronouns: in on under behind near【情感目标】Learn to talk about where the object is.教学重难点【教学重点】Learn the key words.Learn the use of the pronouns.【教学难点】Learn to talk about places and objects with others.课前准备Tape recorder, Multimedia教学过程Step 1. Warm-up 1. Whats this in English?Teacher shows pictures of objects and ask students the question: Whats this in English?Then, teacher show objects which has more than one to students and ask the same question: What are these/those/they?2. Teacher ask students to match words with the things in picture in 1atable_bed_bookcase_sofa_chair_schoolbag_books_keys_3. Teacher ask students to listen to the tape and number the things in the picture. Then check answer with students.4. Teacher circle out the pronouns appeared in the tape, and ask students the difference. Then show pictures of one book with one desk to explain the difference to students.T: Look at the first picture, where is the book?S: Its on the desk. Its in the desk. Its under the desk5. Show a cat in a box and ask students to use what they have learned in the last step to describe the direction.A:Wheres the cat? (wheres = where is)B: Its in the box.6. Pair workDivide students into groups of two and make conversations based on the pictures the teacher showed in the ppt.【设计意图】学生在之前的阶段已经学习过whats this in English的句型, 用图片来教学生本单元将用到的一些单词既清晰又直观。通过物品的表达再引出where is it。讲完之后的练习和pair work也能让学生将所学运用起来为后面的学习打基础。Step 2. Listening1. Ask students to listen and number the things in 2a2. Ask students to listen again and find out where are the things from 2a? Number the things 1-6 in the picture. Then show the sentence to students:1)Tommys computer game is _. 2)His books are _.3)His keys are _. 4)His baseball is _. 5)His pencil case is _.6)His backpack is _.3. Teacher ask students to form groups of two and ask and answer questions like the example in 2c:A: Are the keys on the sofa?B: No, they arent. They are on the table.4. Ask students to role play the conversation in 2d. And pay attention to the intonation and pronunciation. 【设计思路】学生在听力和口语对话练习中进行新知识的构建,听力部分输入口语部分输出,达到高效的学习。Step 3. Pair work1. Explain some important language points to students:1) 以 where 开头的特殊疑问句。 用来询问人或物在什么地方。其结构为:Where is / are 主语(人或物)?回答时不能用 Yes 或 No,而应根据实际情况回答出物品所在的位置。例如: - Where are your keys? 你的钥匙在哪里? - Theyre in my room. 它们在我的房间里。【设计意图】语法点的讲解让学生对课文中出现的短语句子等进一步了解,提高学生的水平。Step 5.
