d n e s sm o d e l 是一个以认知为基础 的语言学理论 旨在揭示语码转换的背后说话人所欲传递的隐含义 该理论认 为 选择有标记的语码意味着更多的付出 由于人们的认知计算以经济为导向 所以在使用语言的过程中往往偏向于作出无标记的选择 说话人作出有标记的选 择是为了获得额外的回报 以抵消这一选择所产生的额外付出 这些额外回报就 是向受话人传递某种附加信息 标记模式称之为意图义 i n t e n t i o n a l i t y 它来 源于人们对所选择的语码通常所能产牛的社会 心理联想 s o c i a la n d p s y c h o l o g i c a la s s o c i a t i o n s 标记模式理论为众多语码转换现象提供了一个较为合理的解释 但由于 m y e r s s c o t t o n 主要从事社会语言学的研究 所以她的这一理论主要基于社会学和 社会心理学的研究成果 而对语言学理论方面的来源论述不足 因此难以为其他 语言学家和语用学家所理解 从而影响了人们对它的认同和在语言研究中的运 用 本文通过研究指出 标记模式具有r 泛的语言学理论来源 首先 标记模式 将语言形式的选择视为说话人有理性的语码选择 这一观点可追溯至j a k o b s o n 提 出的手段 目的模式 其次 标记模式认为 选择有标记的语码意味着更多的付 出 这一观点源自布拉格学派创立的标记理论 尤其是当今认知语言学中的标记 象似性理论 最后 标记模式认为 人们的认知计算是以经济为导向的 这一观 点可以从z i p f 定律中款得理论支持 h 前 标记模式的运用范围已从最初的分析会话中不同语言之问的转换 发 展到分析会话和文学作品中同一语言的不同方言利不同语体之间的转换 本文则 进一步将该理论运用来分析j e n n yt h o m a s 提出的话语角色转换 探讨话语角色的 转换如何成为一种语用策略 话语角色的转换属于一种不同讲话风格之间的语码转换 从标记模式的角度 出发 可以将所有话语角色看作构成了一个集合 说话人根据自己的目的 从中 儿l 选择他所认j j 的最可行的话语角色 向受话人传递信息 集合中的器个话语角色 以其标记性程度而相丐 区别 当出现话语角色从无标记向有标记 或从标记性弱 向标记性强的转换时 说话人作出了更多的付出 作为额外的回报 说话人可以 向受话人传递某种额外的信息 即意图义 这些意图义源自人们对所选择的话语 角色通常所能产生的社会 心理联想 就话语角色而言 这些社会 心理联想就 是通过这些角色所传递的信息的性质 说话人与该信息之间的关系 及说话人对 该信息所持的态度 说话人通过这种意图义的传递 实现自己一定的语用目的 基于标记性的频率标准 本文对 简爱 中的人物在会话中所使用的话语角 色进行了分析 研究表明 说话者 这 一话语角色一般为无标记角色 而其他角 色则带有一定程度的标记性 这样 由 说话者 向其他角色的转换便成了有标 记的讲话风格的选择 但由于标记模式中的标记性是一个动态的概念 无标记语 码在一定的语境中可能会变得有标记 反之亦然 所以虽然 说话者 这一角色 一般为无标 庀 但在特定语境中也会具有标记性 此外 研究还发现 信息导八 语的位置对语码选择的标记性具有调节作用 一般说来 前位为无标记 后位为 有标记 可以增强语码选择的标记性 在此基础上 本文对 简爱 中话语角色的转换现象进行了分析 研究表 明 说话人在转换话语角色的过程中 确实借助人们对这些角色所能产牛的社 会 心理联想 向受话人传递相应的意图义 通过这些意图义的传递 说话人隐 晦地表达了自己对某人 某事 或某一观点的态度 及对信息中的言外行为的责 任范围的理解
