Create SST Configuration using SST Profibus configuration Tool2. Download the Configuration to SST Card using Hyperterminal3. Map the IOs and Profibus Address in Controller Code using Toolbox Macros4. For Versamax IOs, Configure Profibus Network Interface Units using Proficy Machine edition1. Create SST Configuration using SST Profibus configuration ToolDouble Click on PROFIBUS_DP to set the Profibus Baudrate.Complete the Profibus configuration as per the hardware. Remember to include the Versamax Profibus NIU module as the first Slot.The configuration will have .pbc filename.Export the .pbc file to Binary (EditExport Binary). Name the new file “config.bss”.2. Download the Configuration to SST Card using HyperterminalConnect to the serial port using Hyperterminal. The serial port defaults to 115200 with no parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit and no flow control.Restart the SST Card.Pressing any key within 3 seconds of a channel reset will enter serial communication mode.Using the Ry command, download the Config.bss file to the cards flash memory.Issuing an Ry command will put the SST into Receive mode for about 10 seconds. Make sure to “Send” the file before it times out. Use Ymodem Protocol for sending the file. Using the Set Command to set Autorun=pfb3.ss3(Issuing a Set command without any parameters will display the current settings).3. Map the IOs and Profibus Address in Controller Code using Toolbox MacrosThe Toolbox macros are in the Library AK_Profi_VM The NIU Write and NIU Read Macros perform the “byte swapping” required while mapping Profibus NIUs.Macros for individual IO modules are also available to map the IOs.The NIU Read is placed before the Input modules as the macro reads from the SST bus and distributes to Inputs.The NIU Write is placed after the Output modules as the Outputs are collected and sent to the SST bus.NIU Read/Write StrtAddr - Starting Read/Write AddressThe Starting Read/Write Address is obtained fromthe pins ReadOFS and WritOFS of the PFB3intmacro.AddrOffset - Address Offset of the NIUThe Address Offset of each NIUis the Offset from the SST ConfigurationAM_Code 0x39 for SST CardTotBytes - Total Bytes Read/WrittenFor Eg. If only Byte0x0and Byte0x1 are used,then TotBytes = 2IO Module MacrosThe Input and Output Module Macros map the Signals to the VME Read/Write Macros.For an Input module Macro, the signals are mapped on to the pins I1,I2,I3 The ByteIn1, ByteIn2 are the offsetbyte addresses of each module whichare used in the NIU Read macro.For an Output module Macro, the signals aremapped on to the pins Q1,Q2,Q3The ByteOut1, ByteOut2. are the offsetbyte addresses of each module whichare used in the NIU Write macro.The SST configutation can
