状语从句（The Adverbial Clause）在复合句中，修饰主句中的动词，形容词，或副词等的从句叫状语从句。状语从句根据它表达的意思可分为时间，地点，原因，目的，结果，让步，比较（或方式）和条件等类。(1) 时间状语从句 。引导连词有：when, while, till, until, since , after, before, as soon as.* Could you ask her to call me when she gets back?* Ill get up as soon as the bell rings.* While Mum was cooking, Mingming was reading a novel.* After Jenny finished cleaning the classroom, she went home alone.* She waited at the bus stop until the bus came. (2) 条件状语从句 * We will go outing together, if it is fine tomorrow.* If you go to Nanjing road, you will see a lot of shops there.(3) 原因状语从句:引导连词有：because, since, as, now that, seeing that.* Now that winter is behind us, why dont you spread your wings and visit France?* You do not have to pay for the dinner because you are invited .(4) 让步状语从句;引导连词有：though, although* Although she didnt have much experience, she did the job quite well. * The little girl can speak very good English though she is only eight.
