(p3)分析 1) 句子结构分析:此句是一个复合句。he says是主句的主谓部分, it is . 从句作动词says的宾语,it 的前面省略了that。it指上文提到的he always keeps a toothbrush in his pocket for good luck。在宾语从句中,because 引导的从句作系动词is的表语;而在表语从句中,when he started practising stand-up as a child是时间状语从句,he told himself jokes是表语从句的主句;while standing in front of the mirror作时间状语,brushing his teeth 是v-ing形式作伴随状语。2) 语言知识分析:while standing in front of the mirror为while + v-ing形式作时间状语,相当于while he was standing in front of the mirror。拓展 在时间、条件、让步等状语从句中,当从句的主语是it或与主句的主语一致,且谓语动词是be或含有be的时候,从句的主语及be都可以被省略,只留下v-ing形式、动词过去分词或形容词等,如: a) when talking ( =_) of her daughter, she feels very proud. b) when told (=_) that her son had passed the exam, she was very glad. c) if necessary ( =_, ill call you at once.3. whatever the reason, research shows that in the end, the english saying laughter is the best medicine may be true after all.
