(show a picture, saying “dont litter”)s: yes.t: what does it mean?s: dont litter.t: we are not allowed to litter. how about this one? (check these pictures one by one)t: (summary) from these pictures we know such actions are not allowed when we are traveling. no littering, no smoking and no parking in the wrong place, also dont drive too fast. when we are traveling, we should keep a good manner and do as the traffic signs do. yes or no?s: yes.step3: means of transportationt: from the picture, we also get some information about the means of transportation. do you know what the means of transportation mean? (write down such words on the blackboard)s: (in chinese)t: good. it means away to carry people or goods from one place to another place. now look at the first picture in page 15. how does he travel?s: he travels by car.t: car is means of transportation. is the car only means of transportation?s: no.t: can you give me more examples of means of transportation?s: ship, boat, bike, plane, spaceship and so on.t: (summary) there are so many means of transportation. now id like you to choose one .which kind of means of transportation when you go to school? how do you go to school?ask two students to answer such question.s: by bike.t: by bike. why do you go to school by bike but not by car or other?s: my home is very near.t: your home is not far .so the distance should be considered here .yes or no? (in chinese)t: to think about. the word consider is very important; now lets see some usage of the word.consider doing /nounconsider +clauseconsider +wh- to do t: as we know the distance should be considered when you go to school, because your home is not far. now id like to ask you another question. when did this olympic games hold?s: (in chinese) athens.t: this time olympic games were held in athens. where will be the next olympic games held? which city will hold the next olympic games?s: beijing.t: would you like to go to beijing to see the olympic games in 2008?s: yes.t: how would you go to beijing in 2008?s: by plane.t: why would you like to go to beijing by plane but not other/s: (it is faster and convenient and so on)t: so the price and convenience should be considered. (write down “the price and the convenience” on the blackboard) we know lots of accidents happened to the plane. do you still want to go to beijing by plane?s: t: so what should also be considered?s: safety.t: is the plane only means of transportation when you want to go to beijing?s: no.t: whats the other means of transportation?s: by train.t: why?s: it is cheaper and we can enjoy the beautiful scenery.t: so whether we can enjoy the beautiful scenery should be considered.(summary) we should consider the price, distance, safety, convenience and whether we can enjoy the beautiful scenery. anything else?s: (the personal like and road condition and the weather and so on)t: (summary all the factors that should be considered before we decide which means of transportation we will use)step4: speakingt: when we are traveling, we can choose the plane, the boat, the car, the bike, the ship. can you think of more?s: .t: id like to show you one picture. whats it?s: (in chinesexunqinji)t: yeah. good. i am glad we have already known the tv series .who is he?s: gu tianle.t: what role does he play in this tv series?s: xiang shaolong.t: what happened to him?s: (in chinese)t: he returned to the past .how did he return to the past?s: .
