His father forbids him from meeting his friends online.Step 5: Writing an advice letterPlanningWork in groups of four. First lets discuss the four questions given in this part, especially the third and the fourth questions. Then decide which ways should be included in the letter you are going to write. You should assign roles to each of you and write down what you should do. Preparing Those who are responsible for finding examples of advice letters can look at the resources such as magazines, newspapers, Internet sites or TV shows for teenagers to get as much information as you can. Then you will discuss the information found and decide how to write the letter. You also should discuss the draft made by those responsible for writing the outline and evaluate it.ProducingCompose the letter based on the outline and proofread the draft. The writer writes the letter, and has it approved by the whole group.PresentingEach group reads your letter to the whole class. You should also answer the questions the other groups have about your letter. At last all the groups display your letters on the walls of the classroom.Step 6 Assignment1. (2)、当as if/though表示的意义与过去的事实相反时,从句动词要用had 过去分词表示虚拟语气。例如:Jack seems happy as if he hadnt lost his bike. (3)、as if / as though用在省略句中: as if之后除了连接从句外,还可接名词、动词不定式、形容词(短语)、介词短语和分词。这时,也可把其看作是从句中省略了与主句中相同的主语和从句中的谓语动词be而得来的。例如:She hurriedly left the room as if angry.She stood at the door as if waiting for someone.She opened her lips as if to say something.【当场巩固】1.
