教 学 大 纲课 程 名 称 大学英语(21世纪)课程负责人 关淑云 开 课 系 部 外国语学院 教 研 室 大学英语教研室 二一二年七月十日大学英语教学大纲(21世纪)一、课程基本信息课程编号: AJX034001/ AJX034002/ AJX034003/ AJX034004中文名称: 大学英语英文名称: College English 适用专业:非英语专业本科课程性质:公共基础课总学时:280 (其中理论教学学时:192 实验实训学时:88)总学分:16二、课程简介本课程是非英语专业本科生的一门公共基础课,选用教材为高等教育“十一五”国家级规划教材21世纪大学英语,是一门以外语教学理论为指导,以英语语言知识与应用技能、跨文化交际和学习策略为主要内容,以培养学生较强的英语综合应用能力,增强自主学习能力和综合文化素养,从而适应今后工作、进一步学习和进行国际交流的需要为目的,集多种教学模式和教学手段为一体的课程。三、相关课程的衔接预修课程: 无并修课程: 无四、教学的目的、要求与方法(一)教学目的本课程的教学目的是培养学生听、说、读、写、译等方面英语综合应用能力,掌握扎实的词汇、语法知识,达到高等学校大学英语四级(College English Test 4, 简称CET-4)的水平,同时增强自主学习能力和综合文化素养,并为今后的英语学习打下坚实基础;同时重视培养学生实际使用英语进行交际的能力。 (二)教学要求具体地,通过本课程的学习,学生应该达到下列要求:1、听力理解能力:能基本听懂英语国家人士的谈话和讲座,能基本听懂题材熟悉、篇幅较长的国内英语广播或电视节目,能掌握其中心大意,抓住要点和相关细节。2、口语表达能力:能够和英语国家的人士进行比较流利的会话,较好地掌握会话策略,能基本表达个人意见、情感、观点等,能基本陈述事实、事件、理由等,表达思想清楚,语音、语调基本正确。3、阅读理解能力:能基本读懂英语国家大众性报刊杂志的一般性题材的文章,能就阅读材料进行略读或寻读,能正确理解中心大意,抓住主要事实和有关细节。4、书面表达能力:能就一般性的主题基本表达个人观点,能描述各种图表,能在半小时内写150词左右的短文。表达内容完整、条理清楚、文理通顺。5、翻译能力:能借助词典翻译一般英语国家报刊上题材熟悉的文章,能摘译一般的英语科普文章。译文基本通顺、达意,无重大理解和语言错误。 (三)教学方法在课堂教学中,教师要始终坚持“以学生为中心”的教学组织原则。学生通过参与课堂活动,使语言的“输入”与“输出”达到有效的平衡,语言基本技能得到协调发展。教师应注重培养学生的学习能力,学习兴趣和研究能力,在教学中要开展形式多样的教学活动。在加强基础训练的同时,采用启发式、讨论式、发现式和研究式的教学方法,充分调动学生学习的积极性,激发学生的学习动机,最大限度地让学生参与学习的全过程。 五、教学内容(实验内容)及学时分配第一册第一单元 College Life (8学时)第一节 Text A: A Day in the Life of a College Student第二节 Text B: Does Your GPA Really Matter?第三节 Exercises and Skill Development第四节 Speaking and Listening本单元的重点:Topic understanding: College Life;
