However, their reading skills really need guiding and improving. So teachers should always remember to provide them some strategies when teaching knowledge. And give Ss questions: Where are the elephants from? Whats the video about? Purpose: arouse the Ss interests to talk.I think interest is a powerful driving force to motivate the pupils to learn. Its important to interest Ss at the beginning of the class, and its also necessary to provide a background information to lead in new knowledge .Step 2 Pre-readingShow some pictures about elephants and let Ss say out the key words and sentences “Elephants are in danger We must save the elephants.”. Then read aloud in order to remember them. Purpose: Before reading, the teacher should help Ss to get rid of some difficulties. They need to prepare in two aspects.
