(Show a picture of Yao Ming and ask:Who is he ? What does he do? When was he born ?Where was he born? Step2. Presentation 1.Show a picture of calendar and ask: what day is it today? When is it? Whats the date?Then help students answer the question. 2 .Show the ordinal numbers on the screen and teach students for several times, and then ask students to find the forming rules and remind them to pay attention to the particular changes. 3.Teach the new words ; Find out the changing rule of ordinal numbers 4.Explain the forming rules 5.Repeat the question: When is your birthday? Let students know the meaning of the sentence. Then ask them to listen to the tape and pay attention to the questions: When is Kangkang sbirthday? How does he celebrate it? 6.Play the tape and let students follow the tape. Step 3. Consolidation 1.Let students read the dialog in pairs.
