Period 1(Section A 1a-1c)Teaching Aids: A computer for ppt; A tape recorder.Teaching procedures:Step 1 : Greeting!T: Good morning boys and girls!Ss: Good morning Miss He!Step 2: Lead-in:*T:Whats your favorite subject?Ss: English, Chinese, math.T: Do you know what my favorite subject is?Ss: English.T:No, my favorite subject is geography.*T: What can we learn in geography classs?Show some pictures of mountain, river, lake and sea.*T: Do you know these interesting places?Show some pictures to know about these famous places.Step 3: Matching in 1a:* Show the pictures of 1a and ask Ss to match the facts they know in 1a.*Some time for Ss to finish 1a and have a check of their answers.Step 4: Listening of 1b:*T: Now lets listen and complete the sentences in 1b.*Play the recording for the first time and check their answers.*Play it again, Ss try to fill in the blanks.
