基于文本解读的阅读课活动设计八年级(下)Unit 7 Section A 3aQomolangma the Most Dangerous mountain in the World ?长兴县龙山中学 陈晓强 一、单元整体分析本单元以世界知识”Facts about the world”为话题,共设计了Section A, Grammar Focus, Section B, Self Check 四个部分的内容。主要讨论地理与自然 (Talk about geography and nature),要求学生能熟练运用形容词和副词的比较级、最高级 ( Comparatives and superlatives with adjectives and adverbs )。通过比较,了解中国以及世界地理知识;通过搜寻具体信息,培养寻读( scanning )的能力;了解我国和世界的一些“自然地理之最”中的知识等等。从Section A到Section B的语篇综合运用,循序渐进,逐步扩展。二、教材分析本部分内容是人教版新目标八年级下册Unit 7 Section A中的一篇文章,属于阅读板块。阅读材料是关于珠穆朗玛峰的介绍。学生通过阅读了解珠穆朗玛峰的险峻和人类克服困难、挑战极限的勇气与实践精神。3a要求学生阅读后根据文章的描述匹配段落大意。3b的活动引导学生关注细节,列举各段要点。而3c则是要求学生根据文章信息回答问题,更进一步把握文章内容,了解与珠穆朗玛峰有关的信息。三、学情分析初二学生求知欲旺盛,探险精神十足,并且处于人生观、价值观形成的关键期,教师可以充分利用本节课来激励学生在学习生活中要不畏艰险,克服困难,实现自己的梦想。四、教学设计:(一)Teaching aims and demands1. Knowledge aim:New words and expressions: achievement , southwestern ,thick ,include, freezing, condition, take in , succeed, challenge, in the face of , achieve, force, nature, even though 2. Ability aim: Through reading, training students to search for specific information, training students ability of scanning.3. Emotion aim:Understanding of Mount Qomolangma and the human to overcome difficulties, challenge the limit, the spirit of never giving up,(二)Teaching key and difficult points1. key points:(1) Grasp the new words and expressions. (2) Make comparisons.2. Difficult points:To extract relevant information from the reading passage.(三)Teaching and learning methods1. Task-based teaching and learning method.2. Situational language teaching method.3. Individual, pair or group work to make more students work in class.(四)Teaching aidsCAI, tape recorder, a tape , projector, blackboard.(五)Teaching proceduresStep 1 Warming up and lead in 1. Greetings. ( To get ready for the period and make students relaxed. )2. Play the video of the song “Qomolangma”, let students apperceive the natural situation of Qomolangma. ( Teach the force of nature )【设计意图】首先通过与学生的Greeting来达到热身的目的,然后播放一段歌曲“珠穆朗玛”的视频,引入话题“Qomolangma”,让学生初步感知珠穆朗玛的自然状况,唤起学生获得与文本相关的知识,从而导入到本课内。Step 2 Pre-readingTask 1 Free talkTopic 1: What do you know about Qomolangma ?1. Talk about Qomolangma in pairs.2. Reading by themselves silently and underline the things they dont know.2. Show the things they dont know and let students help each other.3. Read after the tape. ( Pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation.) Explain some important and difficult points if necessary.4. Read by themselves loudly. ( Before they read, I will tell them: after you read, I will give you some exercises to check, so you should read carefully. )【设计意图】通过默读划出不懂之处,让学生来帮助解决。跟录音读,模仿其中的语音、语调、节奏,培养学生英语语感。自己带着待会儿要完成相关练习的任务去大声朗读,加深对所学文章深层次的理解,锻炼学生的口语表达能力,做到有的放矢。通过给学生一定的任务,并在任务驱动的前提下做文本的处理,目的在于帮助学生建立以文本为本、获得信息的阅读意识。这样,学生不仅读懂了文本的内容,咀嚼了文本的语言,更读出了文本中所蕴含的情感态度(affection),这也是阅读的真正目的和意义所在。Step 4 Post- reading Task 5 Memory challengeComplete the passage without looking at your book. If we meet difficulties in our life, What will you do?Discuss with your partners, then choose one of your group to give us a small report! After they discuss and give a report in front of the class, let the students write the composition they just talked about.2. Show several compositions by projector.
