This elephant weighs many times more than this panda. 这头大象比这只大熊猫重很多倍。(1)weigh是动词, 意为“有重, 重”。 weigh many times more than. . . 意为“比重很多倍”, time在此表示倍数。(2)表示两倍用twice, 三倍(及以上)用“基数词+times”。若要表述“比倍还要多”可在倍数前加over, more than。【归纳拓展】倍数的常用表达法(1)A+ be+倍数+as+形容词/副词原级+as + B。例如: A is four times as strong as B.
