GreetingT: Good morning, class. Nice to meet you!2. A brief review from lesson 1 to lesson 5. Show them some pictures to lead them to review.Step2 New Concepts1. Lead in Today we will learn about Jennys diary. She will tell us about the trip in China.2. New words a. Show the new words with some pictures, help them know the meaning of the words.b. Play a game After two minutes study, play a game together. Arouse students learning interests. The teacher says the meaning of the words, the students say the English.3. ListeningPlay the tape, lead the students to have a general idea about the text.What places did Jenny and her friends visit on their trip? Listen and tick the correct pictures.4. Readinga. Let them read the text quickly, and answer the questions:How will they go back to Canada? _How does Jenny think of China?_b. Extensive readingRead the text carefully, and find the answers to the questions:(1)What did Jenny love about the Beijing Opera?_(2)Where did the group go yesterday afternoon?_(3)What event was held at the Birds Nest in 2008?_(4)What new instrument did Jenny learn about?_设计意图:第一次粗读让学生对文章有一个整体的理解;第二次精读让学生进一步理解课文,为后期理解语言点做准备。5. Let them find out some important points in the text by themselves. Explain the difficult points. (1) Find out some phrases or sentences that they think important, if there are some difficult points they cant understand, let other students explain for them. Doing this can help the students understand the text by themselves. (2) Explain the difficult points for them.设计意图:让学生自己自学,帮助他们养成自学的习惯。他们找出来的重点如果是本课的,教师可以直接进行讲解。如果是原来学过的,就是对旧知识的复习。没有找到的本课重点,教师再进行总结和讲解。Step3 Review the whole unit.What did Jenny learn about on the trip?
