Greeting (Say hello between the teacher and the Ss) 2. Show Ss some pictures, ask Ss review the words of last class. 3. Game: Have the Ss say the words out as soon as they can. 4. Review the conversation: T: How much is the green T-shirt? S: It is eight dollars. T: How much is the black bag? S: It is two dollars. T: How much are the red shorts? S: Theyre nine dollars. Step 2 Grammar Focus 1. Read and remember the sentences in Grammar Focus. 2. Ask Ss to ask and answer the price of things with the sentences in Grammar Focus:S1: How much is the hat?S2: Its five dollars.S1: How much is this T-shirt?S2: Its seven dollars.3. Teacher asks Ss to notice:1) To ask price of things, use: How much is / are?2) Different words in these sentence:the hatthis T-shirtthat brown sweaterthese socksthose black trousers4. The teacher shows some clothes, ask Ss to ask and answer the price. Step 3 Make sentences1. Read the words in the three boxes in 3a.2. Teacher provides examples:How much is?How much is the yellow T-shirt?How much are these socks?3. Ask Ss work in pairs to ask and answer with the words in the three boxes.4. Write the sentences on the form.5. Try to make some new sentences. Step 4 Look and write1. Look at the pictures and write the questions and answers. 2. Show the students pictures of some pictures like socks, shoes, hat, etc, 3. Let them guess the price of these things by using the following sentences: I think it isThey are.? 4. Write down your answers and questions on the blanks in 3b.Step 5 Pair work1. Work with your partner. You look at the pictures in 3b for a minute and then close your books.
