Unit 3 Where did you go?口前镇第二小学校 王锐Good morning, everyone. I am very glad to interpret my teaching design here. The topic of this lesson is “Where did you go?”. My presentation consists of the following aspects.At first, I want to say something about the analysis of teaching material.This lesson is chosen from PEP English book, the second term of grade6, Unit 3. The main topic of this unit is about holiday. This unit is very interesting, because students can talk about a lot interesting things in their vacation. After students learnt this unit, they could express the past things, their speaking and listening abilities can also be improved.The second part is analysis of teaching aims.Based on the idea of New Curriculum Standard in English class, teaching aims consist of three teaching aims, so my teaching aims are made up of following three parts:First one is knowledge aims:(1)Students can understand the usage of simple past tense.(2)Students can master some new sentences: where did you go on vacation? I went to.The next one is ability aims:(1)Students can use the simple past tense to describe things happened in the past;(2) Students can improve their listening and speaking abilities;The last one is Emotional aims:(1)Can improve the confidence of learning English, and not afraid of speaking English in class;(2)Can cooperate with others and finish the tasks together.Then let me talk about the key points and difficult points.The key points are:(1) the usage of simple past tense;(2) to use the new sentences to communicate with others fluently.The difficult points are:Can use the new sentence to communicate with others fluently.The following part is the analysis of teaching methods and studying methods.In this lesson Ill mainly use “Task-based teaching method” and “Communicative language teaching method”. As to the studying methods, I will encourage students to use cooperative study method to embody the role of first place in instruction activities.Now is the most important part: analysis of teaching procedures.I will finish this lesson in the following several steps.Step one: Warming upAfter greeting with the Ss, I will begin the lesson with a chant. With the help of the PPT, I show exercises to Ss by speaking quickly. Step two: Presentation I will show a picture of children. Who are they? What are they talking about? After finish lets try. Well know Wu yifan and Amy met Sarah at school. Sarah bought gifts for Wu yifan and Amy. Now lets talk about Sarahs holiday. Lets enjoy a video. Then answer my questions. Where did Amy go? She went to Sanya. Look, this is Sanya. It was beautiful. What is the weather like in Sanya in winter? It is warm. In summer, it is hot. How was the beach? It was beautiful beach. How did Amy go there? Sanya is in Hainan. It is far from Beijing. Far from is not near. So she went there by plane. What did Amy do there? She took lots of pictures and went swimming. Sounds great means wonderful.Next read the text by yourselves. And circle the words or sentences which you dont understand. Then work in groups to solve the problems. At last, listen and repeat and pay more attention to the pronunciation. Step three: PracticeThen I will ask students to look at the picture and fill the blank. After it is more difficult than before. It will more blanks. The last practice is ask and answer. Through these activities, they could understand the meaning of listening material better. And they can finish the task in this step. Step four: ConsolidationI will ask students to make a conversation about what the people did during their vacations. Ask students to refer to the following conversation: Where did you go on vacation?.After finished, I will ask some groups to share their ideas.Through this step, students can consolidate they sentence structures in this class. Make a dialogue with partners could provide them more chance to speak, so their speaking ability also can be improved.Ask students to think about what we have learned today. And then make a summary.
