Unit 3 what were you doing when the UFO arrived?之Self cheek Do you remember what you were doing?教 案 设 计一、教学内容Self check 中的Reading.二、教学目标知识与能力:1、 Master the vocabulary : modern , kill murder , silence , meaning , hero . 2、Master and use : What were you doing?过程与方法:通过句子what were you doing ?引出过去进行时,大面积操练,采用学生提出问题,学生解决问题,借助媒体来提高学生的学习主动性。三、教学重难点及突破 重点: 1、the vocabulary : modern , kill , murder , silence, meaning , hero . 2、 Language : What were you doing? 难点:Talk about the past events.五、教学设计 Step One : What were you doing when you hear the important news?展示图片这些图片是历史长河中比较重要的事件,在这些重要事件发生时学生们都在做些什么?通过图片引出Do you remember what you were doing ?Step Two : Shall I know something about you ?namewaswere doingthe newsLucywas studying Liu Xiang won the gold medal at the 2004 Olympics. 展示表格,要求学生互相调查,除了了解重大事件发生时,自己在做什么,也清楚其他同学在做些什么,皆在更多地联系本单元的重要句式。Step Three : Martin Luther king was killed on April 1968.展示一张有关Martin Luther king的图片,对其介绍引入文章,并针对文章给出五个问题,要求学生快速阅读文章后能找出答案。1.Where was Dr Martin Luther King killed? _2.Where was Robert Allen when he heard the bad news? _3.When was the World Trade Center destroyed by terrorists? _4.Who became the first Chinese astronaut ? _5.How many hours did his flight last? _Step Four : 对重点段落讲解1、展示图片: Martin Luther king 2、展示图片:9.11事件3、展示图片:杨利伟通过图片的展示,要求学生对重点事件更加了解,展示图片的同时,给出与事件相关的知识点。Step Five : Let me share the sentences you like .讲解完课文后,要求学生找出自己喜欢的句子,然后老师展示出重点句子,要求学生熟记句子。1.People often remember what they were doing when they heard the news of important events in history.2.Even the most everyday activities can seem important.3.Even the date has meaning to most Americans.4.Not all events in history are as terrible as this one.5.He became a national hero in China, and became famous all over the world.Step Six : Do you want to challenge ? Lets have a try .用所学课文中的知识试着写一篇小作文。I remember the event very well. I will tell you when it took place and why I remember it, and what I was doing at the time. _Step Seven : 播放9.11视频,在这个环节中,渗透了德育教育,告诉学生生活中有喜有悲,我们要如何面对生活中的困难?找学生说自己的观点,然后展示一些句子。v How to face something terrible ?
