Frank was a very proud man with a glorious time as a soldier. However, he became blind because of a war, and he feels he lost all beautiful things in the world. He has a negative attitude to life. He is a failed man, he hasnt a happy family and his brother doesnt like to keep contact with him. So he lost the motivation to live in the cruel world. Even he wants to kill himself. Frank is an unhappy man, he lost many things including the hope of life. Anther person is Charlie in the movie. He is a student at a private preparatory school, but he comes from a poor family, so he must get a part-time job to earn money. Because of this, he has a chance to know Frank. And because of the trip in New York, many changes take place in their life.Charlie is facing a very big problem at school when he is getting along with Frank. He doesnt like Frank at first because of his dirty words. However, he realizes the pain of the old blind man during the trip. He gradually likes the lonely blind person. On one hand, Frank realizes that Charlie is a very brave and tough person at heart. He change his attitude to life because of Charlie, he became positive and have courage to continue his life even though there is dark in his world. On the other hand, Charlie solves his problem successfully with the help of Frank. From this movie, we know that Charlie is an excellent man, he doesnt disobey his principle in order to his benefit. What impressed me most in this movie is that the friendship between Frank and Charlie. They learn many things from each other, and they all get new life because they encourage each other. From this movie, we must stick to our own principles in our study and life, such as having a positive attitude to life and thinking a lot of friendship.I like the happy ending. It not only gives us hope but also makes me think more deeply .Frank protects Charlies reputation as well as guides a promising way for other students. Although there is dark in his world, he became more and more optimistic. I learn a lot from Frank. There are many trouble in our life, however we must realize the value
