Revision Greettheclassasusual.Next,askstudents several questions to go over the target language in the last lesson.Thenhave a talk with the class and lead into the new lesson.Step2. PresentationHelp the students to be familiar with some useful expressions.Showthenew words on the blackboard. Leadthe studentstolearn andunderstandthem one by one. In 1a, lead the studentsto look through the activities they like to do to help lower their stress. Ask the studentsto order them 1-8 with 1 being the most favorite thing they do to lower stress. Give the studentstwo minutes to think about their answers. Askseveral studentstoreadtheir answers. In 1b, give some sample sentences to the students first. Next, invitedifferentstudentstoreadtheirexpressions in class.If necessary, help the students to correct their mistakes.Step3. Practice In 1c, ask the students to read the statements carefully and make sure the students can understand their meanings. Then let the students listen and check () the problems Wei Ming talks about. Play the recording. Invite a student to read his / her answers.Check the answers together. In 1d, read the instructions and help the students to understand the suggestions in the box. Tell the students to listen again and fill in the blanks. If necessary, play the recording twice. Encourage different students to read their answers and help them to correct the answers. Step4. Consolidation In 1e, let the students have a look at the dialogue in the box. Lead the students to speak out their advice and reasons for Wei Ming in pairs. Invite several pairs to act out their conversations. Step5. ProjectInthis part, read the instructions in the box. Tell the students to write a short passage about how to lower the stress for Lily. About five minutes later, invite some students to report their results in class. When they have a few mistakes, help them to correct them in a proper way. Step6.Summary Inthisperiod,wevelearnedthe key words and useful expressions.Also, weveconsolidated the target language by doing some listening and speaking practice.
