Pay attention to the pronunciation of these words: shirt, skirt, trousers, jacket. Teaching aid: Tape, tape recorder, word cards, clock. Teaching methods: Listening, reading, performance. Teaching procedure: Step one: Leading in 1. Everyday greetings. 2. Sing an English song. Step two: New teachings 1. T shows a picture and says: Its a coat. Its a red coat. Learn “coat”. T: I have a red coat. Read two by two. 2. T shows a picture and say: Its a shirt. Its a white shirt. Learn “shirt”. T: I have a white shirt. Read in groups. 3. T shows a picture and say: Its a jacket. Its a green jacket. Learn “jacket”. T: I have a green jacket. Read one by one. 4. T shows a picture and say: Its a dress. Its a yellow dress. Learn “dress”. T: I have a yellow dress. Read two by two. 5. T shows a picture and say: Its a sweater. Its a black sweater. Learn “sweater”. T: I have a black sweater. Practice in pairs. 6. T shows a picture and say: Its a skirt. Its a blue skirt. Learn “skirt”. T: I have a blue skirt. Read two by two. 7. T shows a picture and say: They are trousers. They are purple trousers. Learn “trousers”. T: I have purple trousers. Practice in pairs. 8. T shows a picture and say: They are shoes. They are brown shoes. Learn “shoes”. T: I have brown shoes. Practice in groups. 9. T: These are clothes. Today, well learn Unit 8 New clothes. 10. T point the clothes and say: I have You, please. S1: I have T: He/She has S2: I have T: He/She has Practice in groups. Step three: Consolidate to practise 1. Turn to page 58. Do it in groups. Ask some students to say in English. 2. Make a new dialog in groups. 3. Play the new dialog. Step four: Homework 1.
