Unit Four Why dont you talk with your parents?Hello, everyone. Im MengWeina from Experimental Middle School. I will have an English class” Why dont you talk to your parents?”I will design four parts.Part 1 My understanding of this lesson The analysis of teaching material1) Status and function The lesson is a reading course. The content is Whats your trouble and how do you deal with it?”, so its related to our life.2) Teaching aims and demands Knowledge objects: Ask the students to talk about their problems and how to deal with them. Ability objects: The students can introduce their problems and ask for help and deal with them. Emotion objects: Enable the students to have desire to study English .Encourage the students to speak more English. They can grow up through these trouble.3) Main teaching points and different points How to get on with the family?4) Teaching aims multimedia Part 2 Analysis of the students Most of students arent good at English. They dont dare to speak English, so I encourage them to speak more English and express themselves. Some students arent active in class, I always say open your mouth, and dont be afraid to make mistakes” Part3.Teaching methods Before dealing with this lesson, Ill do my best to carry out the following theories: Make the students the real masters in class while the teacher herself acts as director; the students can be led in the lesson through Communication Methods then Ill use Free Discussion Method and Pair Work .Part4 Teaching stepsI have designed the following steps to train their ability of speaking and writing.The entire steps are:Step1 GreetingsGreet the whole class as usualSteps2 Questions1. Warming up This text is about how to get on with his family? The boy has two problems. Everyone has trouble in our daily life. Do you have any trouble? And do you think trouble is good or bad? I think trouble is good, because the more trouble I have, the more I will know. Trouble can make me grow up. 2 Questions 1 Do you think trouble is good or bad? 2 What is your problem?Step3 Lead the students into the letters. Everyone loves his family, and whats the meaning of family? Students go home every week and how do you communicate with your parents? They can see a thirteen-year-old boy and he has many problems, but whats his problem and how does he deal with it? Step4 Fast reading 1)I give them two questions. Whats his problem about? And how does he feel at home?(give them four minutes) 2 )Ask them to look at several pictures to understand the text well. 3 )He has these problems, so he write a letter to Mr.Hunt.Ask the students to look at the second letter and answer the two questions. Whats it about? And what advice does Mr. Hunt give him?(give them four minutes)Step5 Ask the students to do a task. There are four floating bottle and there are four problems ,but how do you deal with it? Ask every group to think about it and find a good way.
