In this unit, students will learn to talk about the past experiences and master the structure of the present perfect tense like “Have you ever been to .? Ive never been to . ” They should especially know the differences between the present perfect tense and the simple past tense.Analysis of the studentsIn the last unit, students have already learned the past tense and the present perfect tense. In this unit, they continue to learn the use and differences between them. And the topic of this lesson is about fun places. It deals with talking about past experiences by using the simple past tense and the present perfect tense. It is closely related to the students. So it is helpful and practical to arouse students interests in learning English.Teaching Aims1. Master the key words and expressions:camera,progress,rapid,unusual,toilet,social,peaceful,perfect,itself,collect,German province,encourage sb.to do sth.,in such a rapid way,make sth.betterI have been to the art museum many times.Me too. And Ive also visited the nature museum.2. Continue to talk about the past experiences and consolidate how to use the present perfect tense3. Develop students comprehensive skill.Ability Goals1. Teaching Aidsan English book and CAITeaching StepsStep 1 Lead-in T: Hello,everyone. Now look at the pictures(show some pictures on the screen). Have you ever been to these places? Ss: Yes, I have. / No, I havent.Now we have mentioned two kinds of museums. One is the space museum, the other is history museum. Do you know any other kinds of museums? What are they?Then list the names together.Step 2 PresentationReading(3a)1. Let the students read the passage about the most interesting museums the three students have ever been to.Think about this question: Which three museums do the students talk about? Read it quickly and find out the answer.T: Which three museums do the students talk about? S1: They are talking about the American Computer Museum, the International Museum of Toilets in Indian and Hangzhou National Tea Museum.2. Then pay attention to the underlined new words in the passage and read them to students. Next ask them to repeat after teacher.3. (3c)Ask students to guess the meanings with the other words in sentences. Then match the new words with its meanings.4. Explain the important language points.Step 3 Practice1. There are five sentences about the passage on the screen, write T for true or F for false.They can discuss the questions in a group .When they finish the questions,ask some students to check the answers.Give the students 5-7 minutes.2. Page 67,3bPay more attention to the passage in 3a.Make the students know the meaning of the passage.Then make the students read again.And find out the answers to the questions in 3b.Finally choose three students to present their answers.Ask all the students to check the answers.Step 4 consolidationFirst let students to summarize some use of the present perfect tense we have learned. The teacher can help students to speak out.
