Unit6 Section B 1a-1d教学设计 万倩一、教学目标 Knowledge aims:1. Get the students to learn the words and phrases: gold, emperor, silk, underwear, nobody, stupid, cheat2. The students will be able to use the sentence structure:Once upon a time, there was; Nobody wanted to sound stupid; They were trying to cheat the emperor.3. Learn to tell a story in English.Ability aims:1、Be able to understand the order of a story and learn to tell a story according to the pictures.2、To improve students ability of listening and speaking and train the ability of telling the story.3. Speaking to practice oral English.Emotional aims:Educate students to tell the truth and false from the social and to be an honest person.二、学情分析 The topic is about Chinese legends and stories. And the fourth period is mainly about a fairy storyThe emperors new clothes. There are 4 new words in 1a, it makes preparations for the story. Then 1b tells the order of the story. 1c gets Ss to master the key information of the story. Finally, after learning the story, students can tell the story with their own words.三、重点难点 Teaching important points:1、Use the new words and expressions correctly;2、Train students ability of listening and speaking through telling the story.Teaching difficult points:It may be difficult for the students to tell the story in English.四、教学过程 Step1、RevisionsReview the Chinese stories learned in the section A.Show some pictures of foreign fairy tales and ask some students to tell the names of the stories. Then show the picture of the emperors new clothes. Let one student tell the story in Chinese.Step 2、Watch a videoPlay a short video about the story of the emperors new clothes.Help the students to get a very vivid image of the story.Step 3 PresentationShow some pictures on the screen and present the new words. Ask students to guess the words meanings by the sentences.Students watch and learn the new words.Help the students to learn the story and get ready for the task below.Step 4 Matching Get the students to match the words with the pictures and check the answers.Help the students to master the new words.Step 5 ListeningShow five pictures about the story and let students describe each picture. Then let students guess the order of the five pictures.Play the tape for the first time. Students only listen. Then play the tape again. Students number the pictures. Check the answers in class.Listen and fill in the blanks. Ask some students to speak out their answers and translate the sentences into Chinese.Help Ss listen to get the general idea and the detailed information.Step 6 Tell the storyTeachers give students some key words and pictures. Have students work in groups, and then call some students to tell the story according to the key words and pictures. Give every speaker some praise and encouragement.This step will help students review the new words and phrases as well. Also, it will improve students speaking ability.Step7 Discussion Get students work in groups to talk about the story.T: When the emperor knew he had worn nothing? What would he do? What do you think about the cheats? Talk with your partners.Students discuss and talk about the story.This step will help students understand the passage more deeplyStep 8 Summary In this class, we have learned an interesting story called The Emperors New Clothes.
