Then ask students to read the new words together.The teacher writes the new words on the blackboard.1、Reading for main ideaGuide the students to master the reading skillthe topic sentence. Then ask the students to read the passage quickly and match the main idea with each paragraph.2、Reading for specific information Paragraph One:The teacher asks the students to fill in the chart and to check the answers with their deskmate. Paragraph Two: Ask the students to read the second paragraph and let them judge which sentence is true or which one is false. Paragraph Four: Ask the students to read the fourth paragraph and try to find out Dr. Alices main idea.1、RetellingThe teacher uses the blackboard design to point out the structure of the passage.Then the teacher leads students to retell the passage.2、Discuss the questions with your partners. “What do you think of after-school classes? What would you like to do to relax?”Get the students to give their opinions, whether for or against and the ways to relax The teacher summarizes the students opinions and express own views. 1、 Learn the key words and the reading skill.2、We should try to solve the problems we meet and know how to correctly deal with pressure.1、 Read the passage fluently.Remember the key words in the passage.2、Write a short passage about your own opinions on after-school classes.1、 Students answerthese questions freely.
