1130200166 Major:FINFeelings of Attending Experiential Development ProgramEDP（Experiential Development Program）, which is a part of UIC Whole Person Education, gave me a great chance to improve myself and overcome the shortages. It is a great honor to become a member of “Erbao”. Every one of us worked together to solve problems and challenge ourselves. In the past two months, we became friends from strangers; became partners from school mates. Teamwork made us stronger; challenging made us more powerful.To tell the truth, I was a little bit afraid of the course, because many friends of mine told me that EDP is one of the hardest classes. They said that the programs are exhausting; the mosquitoes were savage; the sun was fierce. However, that was all changed as soon as I joined in the EDP classes. I still can remember that our major were divided into 6 different teams roundly in the first class. Of course the first thing was to make “Ice Breakout”, which means team members know more about each other through activities and promote tacit understanding. During that class, not only we got our team name, flag and slogan, but also 23 new friends who were the sisters and brothers supported me in the weeks of classes. Every time when we shout out our slogan, I can feel the energy flowed in the body, run in the EDP place. The team let me believe that nothing is impossible; no one will be left back, nobody can stop us; we are the best. This is “Erbao”, well never give up. Admittedly, our team had met some problems after several victories. It just like a child, no matter how outstanding the child is, he would make mistakes during the growth. Fortunately, our team leader Lana worked together with us. When we faced difficulties, she gave us suggestions; when we lost ourselves, she helped us correct direction; when we felt afraid; she encouraged us to become fearless.Tanks to EDP, it thought me to learn to learn. During the course, what we did was not only complicated some activities, but also to develop kinds of characteristic which can help us in the future. “The Discuss Time” was a part of EDP classes. Team members need to sit together to talk about the feeling of finishing the activity. After the classes we also need to write homework which including descriptions, solutions, sharing and reflections. Admittedly, it was a little bit boring but it was really helpful. Through discussing with others, you can learn from others; through summarizing the activities, you can learn from the experience; through thinking more about doing things, you can improve skills in the future days. The ability of knowing how to learn would give us life-long help. As the old saying goes: “live and learn, and never too late to learn”. Learning to learn is exactly what we should do firstly.Tanks to EDP, it thought me to learn to do. The activity named “theory of evolution” was impressive to me. The rule of this game was based on tradition “cycles” game. There were eggs, chickens, phoenixes and humans, and each level had a special behavior to do. Everyone should play “cycles” with people in same level, and the winner will be evolved while the loser vestigial. Actually, this game was played to tell us that chances always come to the one who is trying to create opportunities. The ones, who did not do actions of their level, just gave up the opportunities to find other adversaries to play with. On the way of achieving dreams, there are many paths and crosses which we can choose. However, the doors of chances are not always open. One way to have keys to opportunities is to create them yourself. “God helps who help themselves”, so does the opportunity of you.Tanks to EDP, it thought me to learn to be. To be a human being is not a easy thing. Which makes us different from animals is that we take responsibilities; we communicate with each other; we can be innovated; we try to Self-breakthrough. The EDP place and the students just like a small model of society. The activities just like the challenges in our life. During the classes, some activities told us creativity is important for us, for example “nuclear radiation”. Some activities thought us courage can beat fear, such as “High-altitude training”. Besides, early every activity was focus on developing our leadership, organization skills, observation abilities, teamwork and communication. To be a qualified college student, a human, these things are necessary for us. Now, the 8-weeks E
