Module 1 How to learn EnglishUnit 1 Lets try to speak English as much as possible.本课时编写:合肥市金湖中学 江立寒教材分析本模块主要内容是介绍学习方法,讨论在英语学习过程中所遇到的困难,并且通过问答等方式交流英语学习的方法和建议。本模块第一单元的主要内容是詹姆斯老师和大明、玲玲等同学讨论英语学习的方法问题,这对学生改进自己的英语学习方法很有启发作用。教学目标【知识与能力】1. 掌握提出建议的表达方式。2. 能够听懂有关学习的建议。3. 能够口头就学习方法提出建议。4. 能够表演包含建议的对话或就学习方面的建议做口头陈述。【过程与方法】让学生自己预习本单元词汇,在此基础上,让学生听录音完成Part 1和Part 2,然后预习课文Part 3,再完成Now write notes about learning English.【情感、态度、价值观】培养学生学习英语的兴趣,激发学生学习英语的欲望。让学生热爱英语,乐于助人,加强合作与交流的意识。教学重难点能够运用本单元学习的词汇、句型谈论英语学习中的困难并提出建议。课前准备Tape recorder, Multimedia教学过程Step 1. Warming-up 1. Show some pictures of school things. Say how to learn English well.2. Read the words after the teacher.3. Introduce the new words.4. Learn the new words.【设计意图】本活动是为下面的听力活动做准备,起到激活词汇和导入话题的作用。Step 2 Read and check.1. Read the instructions in Activity 1 and check () the ones you understand.1) Work in pairs. Ask and answer the questions.2) Correct the spelling. 3) Listen and check the words you hear.4) Practise saying the words.5) Match the words with their meanings.6) Complete the sentences with the words in the box.2. Ask the students to check their answers with a partner.3. Call back the answers from the whole class and check the answers.【设计意图】本活动的目的是让学生熟悉课堂中常用的指令语。对于学生不太理解的指令,教师有必要讲解。Step 3 Listen and answer the questions.1. Ask the students to read the word and expressions in Activity 2.dictionary grammar letter look up make a mistake understand2. Read through the questions.1) Which word did Daming not understand?2) What mistake did Lingling make?3) How does Daming usually check the spelling of a word?4) Why was it difficult for Daming to check the spelling of cinema?3. Play the recording and ask the students to listen to the recording carefully.4. Listen and answer the questions. Use the words and expressions from the box.5. Play the recording again, then they can check their answers with a partner.6. Call back the answers from the whole class and check the answers.【设计意图】本听力活动所培养的是学生对主题的关注能力和获取细节信息的能力。Step 4 Listen and read.1. Show some pictures, and ask the students to talk about them.2. Ask the students to read the conversation silently.3. Play the recording and ask the students to listen and read the conversation.4. Read the conversation.5. Act it out.6. Learn “Everyday English”.Ready?Thats a good idea.What else?Thanks a lot!Excellent!7. Now write notes about learning English.Ask the students to read the notes so they know what to listen for.Play the recording and ask them to just listen and focus on the key information.Play the recording again for them to write notes.Elicit answers from the class.【设计意图】本活动有助于培养学生获取具体信息的能力,养成边听边做笔记的习惯。Step 5. Underline the correct words and expressions.1. Tell the students to read the whole passage first and then think about the missing information in each sentence.2. Ask them to underline the correct answers on their own.3. Ask them to check their answers in pairs.4. Check the answers.【设计意图】本活动用来检测学生对目标词汇的理解和运用,同时训练学生的听后信息提取能力。Step6. Listen and mark the intonation.1. Ask the students to read through the sentences and think about how to say the whole sentences.2. Play the recording. Ask the students to listen carefully and mark the sentences with the correct answers.3. Check the answers with the whole class.【设计意图】针对本模块的交际功能,语音部分要求学生掌握提出或回应建议时的语调。Step 7. Talk about problems in learning English and give advice.1. Ask the students to look at the example sentence patterns and conversation and repeat them chorally.2. Put the students in pairs to model and practice conversation.3. Elicit several p
