Unit 1 Whats the matter? Section A (1a-2d) 南河中学 赵君兰概述:人教版八年级英语下册Unit 1 whats the matter?本单元共需四个课时,本课是第一课时,主要学习身体各部位的英文名称、表示生病或不适的名词和一些表示身体感觉的形容词,本课主要教学内容是学习词汇和句型: have a headache. You should go to bed. He has a stomachache. He shouldnt go to bed. She has a toothache. She should see a dentist等。在课堂教学中,教师要使教学内容生活化,从学生的日常生活出发,结合学生实际情况,使学生口语练习生活化、交际化,达到学以致用的目的。设计理念:倡导任务型教学。借助现代信息技术,努力为学生创设理想的英语学习环境,提供丰富的网络资源,倡导体验、实践、参与、交流与合作的学习方式。,把语言综合运用能力的培养落实在教学过程中。面向全体学生,突出“以人为本”的素质教育理想,使语言教学的过程同时成为提高人文素养、增强实践能力、培养创新精神的过程。教学目标: 1Vocabulary: Talk about health, problems and accidents.2. Give advice.教学重点:1. Phrases: have a cold have a fever have a stomachache have a headache lie down and rest drink water go to a doctor 2. Sentences :I have a headache. You should go to bed. He has a stomachache. He shouldnt go to bed. She has a toothache. She should see a dentist.教学难点:How to talk about health problems and give advice.教学准备PPT、pictures、cards Teaching Procedures 教学过程 Section A 1a-2dStep 1 Warming-up(1) Greeting:T: Ok , its time for English class. Nice to meet you, boys and girls. Turn back and greet with each other.(2) Play a game.Touch the body parts , and then Look at the picture in 1a. Write the correct letter a-m for each part of the body.【设计意图:此处的复习,一是实现对以前学习内容的灵活运用,拉近师生间的距离;二为新知的教学打下基础, 为本节课运用What the matter? 这一句型作铺垫】Step 2 Presentation T: Now,Look ,who is she ? (PPT展示图片)S: She is Miss Zhao . T: Whats wrong with her? We can also ask Whats the matter with her? T: (help Ss answer) She has a cold .教师假装感冒咳嗽动作引出句型:Whats the matter He/She has a cold. What should he/she do ?He /She should drink some water.【设计意图:用教师自己的图片给学生创造真实的情景,是学生能够把学到的知识及时的做一反馈】教师继续利用句型:Whatthe matter.来询问学生:从而学习以下新词:have a cold have a fever have a stomachache have a headache 以及表达建议的短语:lie down and rest drink water. go to a doctor. take medicine .Step 3 Practice Role-play 支架如下:A What s the matter with ?B He/She has a.A What should he/she do ?B He/She should 【设计意图:利用真实的情景,把学到的知识活用到言语交际中.】Step 4 Listening Listen to the tape ,finish the 2a .Step 5 Guessing Using this method ,teach the main points from listening :T Can you guess? Yes ,he/she does S What should he/she do ?T He/She should go to a doctorS.教师用同样的方法教给学生词汇: have a fever have a toothache have a sore throat. have a sore back. lie down and rest drink some hot tea with honey see a dentist get an X-ray take one temperature Step 5 Listening PracticeListen again, and Check the answers in 2a and 2b .Then practice .Let students make conversations with their partners .支架如下:A Whats the matter with him/her?B Does he/she ?A Yes ,he/she does. No, he/she doesnt.B What should he /she do _?A He/She should_.【设计意图:让学生听读与课本内容相关的短文,大信息量输入,丰富学生的语言,在语境中体会、理解新知。培养学生自主听读的能力及语感。通过听后进一步学习词汇及句型。】Step 6 Role-play the conversation At first ,teacher teach some main points to students ,then let students read the conversation with their partners, After this ,answer these questions:Phrases1.sound like 听起来像 2.away from the computer 远离电脑休息 3. in the same way 同样的方式 4.cant move neck 不能移动脖子 Questions1.
