新课标高中英语必修一第一单元第一课时教学设计A Teaching Plan for Unit 1 FriendshipTeachers and students: Fanrunmiao & Class 16, senior Grade 1 1 课题Topics:Friendship 友谊2课时Teaching Period:第一课时 the first period : speaking: warming up and pre-reading3教材分析 Analysis:本单元的中心话题是“友谊”,几乎所有的内容都是围绕这一中心话题展开的。Warming-up 部分以问卷调查的形式出现,假定日常生活中真实场景,探讨解决这些问题的方法,通过回答问题得到相应分数,判断朋友在学生生活中的地位。 Pre-reading部分设定几个问题启发学生对友谊和朋友进一步思考,可以给我们做朋友的除了人之外,动物、植物、日记等都可以成为我们的朋友。4教学目标Aims:知识与技能:Talk about friends and friendship; To consolidate the key words learned in this unit;文化意识to know about friend and the real meaning of friend;to learn how to get along with others;情感态度to arouse the interest in learning Englishto learn to express their feeling of friends and friendship 5 教学重点和难点Teaching difficult points:To train studentsability of speaking, listening, reading and writing;To improve students cooperating abilities词汇:add point upset ignore calm concern cheat share reason list series 短语: add up calm down have got to be concerned about go through hide away should have done 难点:Understand the real meaning of friends and friendship; Discuss the answers to the questions (Reading); 6教学策略: Teaching methods:Student-focus approach and task-based approachDiscussion, Student-centered vocabulary, learning, listening, pair work, learning in real situation7教学煤体设计Teaching aids: CAI(ppt) A projector8 教学过程Teaching procedures:Step I Greetings and Leading-inAsk some of the students to read his / her composition for the class, describing one of the problems between friends and how it is solved. Then give some comments. T: Now, lets check up your homework for last class. Id like some of you to read his / her composition for the class, describe one of the problems between friends and how it is solved.Free talk: Something about friend and friendshipAsk the Ss to describe one of their friends-their appearance, personality, hobbies, etc.Qs: Whats your friend like? What does he/she like to do in his/her spare time? What personality does he/she have?Step II Warming upT: think most of us have some good friends. Do you know why people make friends with one another?Step III SpeakingFirst, get the students to think of four situations among friends in groups of 4 and design a questionnaire to find out what kind of friends their classmates are.Second, try it out on their own group, checking the questionnaire through and adding up their score and see how many points they can get. Ask them to fill in the form prepared before class. Show the instructions and decide what kind of friends their classmates are. Third, ask each student to stand up and walk around the classroom to make a survey on four of other classmates. Show the instructions and decide what kind of friends other classmates are. They can share your questionnaire with one or two other groups and try each others questionnaires.At last, show the instructions to help your classmates to know how to improve his or her skills of making good friends with others if necessary.T: Friends come in many flavors. There are best friends, school friends, fair-weather friends, forever friends and many more. Do you want to know what kind of friends your classmates are? Step IV SurveyNow lets make a survey. First, please think of four situations among friends and design a questionnaire to find out what kind of friends your classmates are.1. Your friend borrowed 100 Yuan from you last week and hasnt returned it. You willA. ask him / her to pay back as soon as possible; or youll end the friendship.B. ask him / her to pay back if he / she has.C. tell him / her not to return it.Question 1 deal with how thoughtful you are towards others. The scoring reflects your concern for others. So one point for A gets the lowest score because it is the most selfish response. B get the highest score because it show a concern for your friend as well as your wish to go to see a film. C gets a slightly lower score because although it shows you want to go with your friend (because you change the plan), you do not help your friend.2. Your friend said your bad words behind you. You will A. ask him / her to say sorry to you , or youll stop your friendship.B. excuse him / her and forget it.C. ask others to tell him / her that he/she is wrong.3. You promised to meet your friend at five oclock but your parents ask you to do homework at home. You willA. tell him your parents ask you to do homework at home.B. tell him / her a lie that you are ill.C. say sorry to him / her and plan to meet him / her another time.4. You borrowed a bike from your friend, but you had it stolen. If they are feeling down, or if they are having a problem, you dont want to spend time or talk with them. You dont help your friends when they have problems. You are always thinking about yourself.You should care more about your friends. If you continue to be self-centered and dont consider others feelings, you wont make more friends and keep friendship for long.6-11 A school friendYou see each other in school. You just study and play with them together in school. You may not know everything about each other. You take things smoothly. You seldom hurt your friends with your benefit considered. Youd better add more affection to your friends. Friendship is about feelings and we must give as much as we take.12-17 A best friendYou do everything together with your friends: study, read, watch TV, surf the Internet, play sports and listen to music. If either one has a problem, the other is there to help. You know your friends very well. You understand and yield to each other. You help with each other and improve together. You have a lot of common benefit. Your friendship is good to both of you. You are mutually beneficial.18-21 Forever friendYou will always listen to your friends and try to help them, even if you disagree or if you are having a problem. Whenever they have any difficulty, youll try your best to do what you can to help them without hesitation. You devote yourself to your best friends. You are willing to lose what you have, even your life.Step V Teacher explain each itemQuestion 1 deal with how thoughtful you are towards others. The scoring reflects your concern for others. A gets the lowest score because you are not giving your friend another chance to behave better this time. B gets a higher score because you let your friend borrow the camera again. This shows kindness and forgiveness or the trouble you had when it was returned broken. But you are not balancing his heeds against your own. That is why C gets the highest score. You are showing your friend that you will trust him/her with the camera again but this time you are giving him / her rules in case it gets broken.Question 3 deals with your concern for others. A get the lowest score because you would put anything else that needed to be done aside and concentrate only on your friend. This is not responsible. You have things that you need to do. Of course your friend is important but not more important than you responsibilities. B gets a higher score because it shows some concern for your friend and some understanding that you have important things to do too. But it does not show any real interest in his / her problem. C get the highest score because it not only shows concern for your friend but a recognition that you have responsibilities too.Question 4 is concerned with responsibilities to a friend. A provides the correct amount of responsibility to your friend. You recognize that it was your fault and will put it right and pay for the damage. So it gets the highest score. B provides some understanding that you are responsible. You put the situation right but you do not pay for the damage yourself. So it does not get the highest score. C gets the lowest score because you expect your friend to pay for your mistakes even though you were doing your friend a favour.Question 5 is concerned with honesty. If you let your friend look at your paper or somebody elses paper, you are helping them to cheat. That is not honest, so answers A and C get no marks. But it takes courage to tell your friend that they should have studied and that they cannot look at your paper. That is also the honest answer. So you get 6 points for B, which is more than any other in the quiz.StepV: Language pointsTeacher explain language points with some slidesadd v.1) to put together with something else so as to increase the number, size, importance, etc. 增加,添加eg. He was upset when he heard the news.His cheating in the exam upset his teacher.4ignore vt. to pay no attention to sth. 忽视;对不予理睬eg. Ignore the child if he misbehaves and hell stop soon. ignorant adj.无知的;不知的 ignorance n. 无知;愚昧5. calm vt. to make sth./ sb. become quiet 使镇静;使平静 adj. not excited, nervous or upset 镇静的;沉着的calm down 镇静;平静calm down sb.=calm sb. Down 使某人镇静sb. calm down(vi.) 某人平静下来eg. The excited girl quickly calmed down. He took a few deep breaths to calm himself down.have got to do sth.(口语)=have to do sth. 不得不做某事;必须做某事eg. Since youre no longer a child now, you have got to make money to support the family.*have got to在变疑问句或否定句时,不再另加助动词,而have to则
