( 主持人 )Ladies and Gentlemen: Good morning. Today,it is our honor to invite three world famous professers. They respectively are Professer He, Professer zhang and Professer Liu. Let us warmly applauded for their attendance. As we all know, the world is getting older. A much higher proportion of elderly people is expected in almost every corner of the world , as well as in China. This quarters academic report is about the Global Ageing. Firstly, request Professor He to show her academic research about the current situation of global ageing. （ 何燕 ） Thank you very much, host, for you gracious introduction. I am delighted to speak here.With my last years research, in 2002, the world average percentage of total population aged 60 years or more is about 10%. Europe has the higest percentage as 20%,which is far more higer than the world average. The second high is the Northen America about 16%. Then Asia is 9% in the third place. The Latin Amreica &Caribean is 8% in the fifth. The lowest is 5% in African. However, expected in 2050, the world averag population will be 21%. The problem is expecially serious in Europe as 37% high. The other three states also will become much higer. In China, the aging problem shoud not be neglect,either. In the second half of the 21st century, China will be second to India ranked second aging populous country.( 主持人 ) The problem is really serious. Then, we should learn the problems and challenges facing us. ( 张旭帆 )Firstly, the growth of the aging population will change the population dependency ratio, the increase in the population of dependents will increase the existing labor moving the burden of the population; secondly, the aging of the labor accompanied by the aging of the population age structure, bound to the economic development and labor improved productivity have a negative impact; thirdly, The aging of the population in old age social security costs is a significant increase in heavy financial burden to the government; then, it objective for adjustment of the existing industrial structure to meet the special needs of the elderly population on the material and spiritual culture; lastly, an aging population will inevitably cause changes in family size and family structure, family pension to continue to weaken;（1）老龄人口的增长会改变人口的抚养比，被抚养人口的增加必将加重现有劳 动人口的负担（2）伴随人口老龄化而产生的劳动力年龄结构的老龄化，必将对经济发展和劳动生产率的提高产生一定的消极影响；（3）人口老龄化使用于老年社会保障的费用大幅增加，给政府带来比较沉重的财政负担（4）人口老龄化客观上要求调整现有的产业结构，以满足老年人口对物质和精神文化特殊的需要（5）人口老龄化必然会引起家庭规模和家庭结构的变化，使家庭的养老功能不 断削弱；( 主持人 ) Thank you for Professor Zhangs excellent speech, in the end, the Professor Liu will introduce the solutions addressing the ageing issue for us. Applauding.( 刘蓓蕾 ) As for the issue of aging, its situation has been growing increasingly severe in spite of the fact most people are still ignorant of the problems it brings about. Firstly, with families becoming smaller, it is even graver for families to care for aged members adequately. Secondly, aging causes a relative decline in working force in that fewer people have to support the increasing aged people. Thirdly and most importantly, the aging of population resulted from the successful implementation of family planning has not been synchronized with national economic progress.The rapidity of the populations aging has made it more urgent for the adoption of countermeasures. No doubt the key is to build a solid economic foundation. Meanwhile, importance shall be attached to overall social progress by changing the backward situation in social security, welfare and service.
